Today was Kevin's 2 year check up as well as Julia's 6 month.
We'll start with Kevin-
He weighed in at 26.6 lbs. gaining a whopping 1 pound since his 18 month appointment, putting him in the 25% for his age and he was 36 inches tall putting him in the 90%.
Kevin had to have 2 shots and blood drawn from the vein in his arm. They didn't do the 'normal' finger prick to check his iron and lead levels, due to the fact he was anemic previously, they want to do a more extensive blood test requiring more blood.
The first arm the vein rolled. So while we were waiting for a 2nd nurse to come he got his shots in the leg. He had already seen Julia get hers so he knew what was coming. He kept saying, No poke mom, go home! No Poke! I told him how tough his was and he sat there for it and did really well! The 2nd nurse came and luckly (as in luck I mean my prayer was answered!) the needle slid right in! Can I tell you how hard it was to hold Kevin's arms down. I swear through the first poke I was laying on top of him. My compassion and gratitude has increased ten fold today. I have so much compassion for those mothers who have to experience this day in and day out with their Children. My gratitude has increase because I was lucky enough to be blessed with 2 healthy children, and this is a rare...VERY RARE occassion for us!

Julie Wulie was also awesome at her checkup.
She was talking up a storm!!
Julia weighed in at 14.6oz. gaining 1.7oz. in 2 months. Putting her in the 25% for weight as well. She is 26.5 inches growing tall like her brother, topping the charts at the 75%.
Julia had 3 shots. She was a champ. Not even a tear. Then she cuddled right up and went to sleep! How lucky I am to have 2 very healthy and very entertaining kids!
We feel so blessed. We can't thank our Heavenly Father enough!

Since for WHATEVER reason the house is NOT cleaning itself, I must get it cleaned up so I can start packing, because we are LEAVIN' on a JET PLANE! Can't wait to see my Mommy!

Your kids are so cute! Julia is just a doll!! How fun.
Those two kids are sooo dang cute!!! and i know how you feel about the shots. I feel horrible when I have to hold down London to get hers and Jenna is a completely different story. I seriously have to wrestle her. She's strong for her age. ha ha ha!
We wish we were going to see you guys too! I know you're having fun with your family though! We'll definitely have to catch you next time...you guys are our ice cream buddies!! Merry Christmas!
