This picture was taken last Sunday, just minutes before Kevin took his own diaper off, yelled, PEEPEE POTTY, and took of running to the bathroom. I quickly followed, jumped him up on the toilet and he took care of business.
I decided that there was no better time then Monday morning to really dive into potty training.
If you had asked me last night I would of said, he's potty trained... IE, he's had an accident here and there while we were at home but we've been out of the house and to several stores on several occassions throughout the week, he was wearing regular underware each time and we had NO accidents.
However, ask me today and he is far away from being potty trained as Julia is. What's with that? Is it because his molars are coming in and he is Mr. Grouchy Pants? We've tried everything today... super positive, mean, forceful, rewards, punishments... Nothing was doing the trick!
Tomorrow is a new day and I'm crossing my fingers that is is a better one!
(regardless of todays experience, I've loved NOT changing his diaper!)
Another first for this week. I switched Julia to formula.
She is a new women. She is back to her 'normal' self of talking non stop and cooing herself to sleep. AHH! I'll pay for formula every day to have that back.
Cody worked a 4/10 shift this week. I LOVED IT! It was so nice to have him home on Thursday. We wrapped up our 10 day diet that day. He lost 5 lbs, I lost 7. So, we celebrated with running erronds (ordered our carpet which should be installed this week... EEK! CAN'T.WAIT. no more nasty smelling carpet for us!), taking a long afternoon nap, and of course a little pizza! (He was bummed to find out that we will still be getting up every morning at 6 to work out!)
Kevin is all about being the photographer as of late. A nice upclose and blurry of Daddy.
Kev's awfully proud of his work though.
Kevin's also taken up scrapbooking! :) Due to the fact I've been playing catch up and he needs to be entertained while I finish (9 pages from being caught up through January!) He's been scrapbooking the left overs. He loves using the crazy scissors, glue, and markers. And of course, he ONLY wants to use the expensive paper.
And the happiest thing to wrap up our week- Cody and I were able to go on a date this weekend. Oh how I love a date night with my hubby. We went to a YUMMY Mexican restaurant, shopping at Kohls and finished off with a fun, feel good movie, When in Rome.
I love you C-Dawg- Thanks for the fun night!

I am so glad that formula did the trick! And hooray for potty training.
After a week or two of Ana doing really well with the potty, she started having accidents. In fact, she would look me right in the face and pee in her panties. So, I started putting her in a cold shower. (I would just tell her we had to wash her bum cuz it was dirty now and I just made the water slightly un-pleasant.) After about 4 times of that, she stopped having accidents. I'm not saying everyone should do that, but it worked for us.
You amaze me...I don't know how you do it all!
I'm envious, I bet that a few days of your consistency and Kevin will get back on track. HOPEFULLY!!
Just so you know, Lucy hasn't forgotten you. I opened up your blog and just as clear as day Lucy said, "Jessie!"
