We finally bought our plane tickets for May, and I'm so excited.
So is Kevin. He has asked everyday, 'Get on airplane day?' He has even packed his backpack a few times and left. Right out the front door. 'Going to airplane, Mom!' Cody or I has had to go and get him to come back as he's been 3 or 4 houses down the street.
I'm so ready to eat a smore. I'm not a big smore person, but we didn't get to go to the Blackfoot River last year, so I'm passed due for my yearly smore.
Our weather has been awesome. It's been warm, hot, rainy, windy, and freezing. All in one day sometimes, I keep telling Cody has it is lightly raining with a little wind, "I CAN'T WAIT TO GO CAMPING!" Each time he laughs and tells me that such weather should NOT make me excited to go camping.
Memorial weekend wouldn't be Memorial weekend without some rain Eh?
As I said we've had great weather. Yesterday it was SOOOO WINDY. I remembered that Aunt Shas had given Kevin this kite (A YEAR AGO!) I finally opened it and we went out back and took it up for it's first time. Although it didn't last long.
Trying to get a 2 year old to run AWAY from his Mom when it isn't his idea, was not an easy task. However Elmo did get to look down on us once or twice. Kevin loved it and has been asking to take him back out. I told him we'd go when Daddy can go. It was a bit of a workout for me, and Julia ate too much junk out of the grass during the process.
Because Kevin has done so awesome at Potty training his reward has been to go to the zoo. We've been several times! (Love that zoo pass!)
This time, we were 3 of MAYBE 50 people. It was so NICE. It was a bit nippy out but I bundled the kids up with jackets and blankets, and we had a great time. There were no lines, no trying to keep track of a 2 year old in the frenzy, and no crazy stoller drivers to hit you in your ankles.
Mr. Lion was antsy, he paced the glass the entire time. The few times he looked Kevo square in the eye the camera was not ready... DANG IT!
Not kidding, it freaked me out a bit that the lion was that close to him. I kept wondering, if he gets a crazy leg can he break that glass?
This is proof that Julia was in attendance! She loves the stroller and didn't complaing once!
(Love those lashes little girl!)
Up until Kevin turned 1, I did a full on photo shoot each month in my favorite outfits. Poor Julia has totally been jipped. The last 'REAL' photo shoot, by Mommy was just before Halloween.
She was being a ham yesterday morning so I caught a few pictures of her.
They are all similar, but I just couldn't pick my favorite!
She has gotten her 2 bottom teeth and is constantly rubbing her teeth on them, resulting in her tongue in each picture. Love it!
Julia started pulling herself up into a standing position yesterday.
Brought me near tears. I'm so excited, but so sad. I don't want her to get too big too fast!
MOOOOOOM!!! PUT ME BACK ON THAT CHAIR! She was having a blast. Apparently, I ruined it!
On a side note. Our stake conference is tomorrow and Sunday. Elder Dallin H Oakes is coming. Since Cody has the calling he does, we get to have a lunch and a dinner with Elder Oakes. SO EXCITING!!!

I'm with ya Jess, I can't wait to go camping either, I just hope Madie doesn't decide to come earily and complicate things. JD says he'll just catch her, but i don't know how I feel about that!!! We can't wait to see you!
Yay...You guys get to come back in a month! I love the pictures of J. How cute!
Oh my heck! Those pics are so adorable! I am so jealous that you are going home! We are counting down the days until we get to go in June! Have fun with Elder Oakes! What a great opportunity.
