We were thrilled yesterday to be able to spend a couple of hours with Tyrel.
It was a bit stressful for awhile. We got there in time, but Kevin had a melt down because we were at the airplanes and he didn't have his backpack (his rolling one we usually take flying!) then he wouldn't go potty and hadn't gone potty for 4 hours so we were nervous to take him with us. Then the elevators were so BLASTED SLOW! Then we had to wait to get on a train to ride it to the international terminal. By the time we had gotten there and waited for a bit we realized we had crossed paths, Cody hurried back to the terminal Ty was checking back in at while I stopped for a potty break with Kevin.
Just then Tyrel called to say where he was and Cody found him seconds later!
We are grateful for the prayers that were answered. My Mom and I and I know a few others prayed daily that we would be able to work it out to see Tyrel while he was in Chicago.
We forgot to take pictures. We grabbed this one just before it was time for Tyrel to jump on his next plane.
I'm not going to lie, I cried a bit this morning knowing that my WHOLE family was partying with out me. I miss them dearly, but am so thankful I was able to see Tyrel yesterday.
We had a couple of momentous occassions at our house.
1- Kevin had never dunked an oreo before. After his nap I pulled out a half of a pack of oreos and showed him the joy of a dunked oreo. He LOVED IT! Infact, he was so worried I was going to cut him off at anytime he was dunking and chewing just as fast as he could!!!
On Sunday Julia was able to wear her first PONY TAIL!
It was so dang cute and I was so proud. People make comments all the time about me being the hairdresser and having hairless kids! Let's just say, Julia Ann has worn quite a few ponies the last week. It's nice too cause she doesn't mess with em. Head bands on the otherhand...that's a whole different story.
Julia was being a ham! I took a video of her, I'll try to load it. I make no promises. She gets up on her toes and jumps her legs up in the air. She thinks she is a frog. Kevin does it a lot and she caught on quick.
Kevin took his first spin on a Harley. Talk about LOVE at FIRST sight!
After seeing Tyrel, we stopped at the Chicago Temple. Kevin BEGS to see the temple all the time.
He thinks that the BIG churches by our house are temples. Kevin would have stayed the rest of the day there if we would have let him.
He was bummed we couldn't go inside. We're hoping to make it to temple square with him soon so that he can see it and feel like he is 'in' the temple!
