Taking the day off

Yesterday afternoon Kevin woke up from his nap at 101.6 degrees.
He was groggy and loopy and kept saying, My head hurt!
I drugged him right away (in a good way!)
and soon after his fever broke.
But ever 4 hrs. and 2 minutes he was roasty toasty again.
This went on all night.
At 6:30 he fell asleep on the couch, I moved him to his bed, we could hear him whimper occasionally,
he'd get up and go potty, get a drink, sleep for a bit...
at 1:00 a.m. his fever broke again and then he was starving, he hadn't eaten since 3 p.m.
I got him up, he was sitting at the bar, I was making a sandwich,
when he started barfing his guts out!
REALLY, there wasn't anything in there but fluids, I was waiting for his guts to come.
It was so sad, but then he felt tons better and ate a whole sandwich. We read a handful of 'Granny's books'
(she sent us a package of books) and he went back to sleep. Only to wake up a few hours later with a nasty fever.
We all slept in this morning. I woke up at 8. Church starts at 8:30. Cody told me to get ready and go enjoy church and he'd stay with the kids.
I did!
It was awesome.
I loved sacrament meeting.
I loved the speakers.
Sunday school was awesome.
and I had a ball in young womens.
When I came home he was feeding he kids and putting them down for naps.
He said, 'take a nap'. I minded.
He unloaded the dishwasher and cleaned the kitchen.
Right now, he is making home made meat balls.
How'd I get so lucky?
(I had a PPI with the Bishop 10 minutes of my 15 minute meeting was about my awesome hubby!)
I LOVE HIM!
And I am truly grateful for the day off.

-THE ART TABLE-

A lady down the street was having a rummage sale (yard sale)
and this table was just a few bucks.
Just what we need... more junk in our house,
but Kevin loves it.
I introduced him to painting (again) the last time he painted was Halloween last year.
He loves coloring and writing words (in his own language) and painting at his table.

--DATE NIGHT--

Every Friday night Cody and I have date night. 98 percent of those dates take place at home once the kids are snoozing.
This was Friday 2 weeks ago.
We hauled load after load of junk from our basement and burned it.
We still have a good fire or two left down there, but we are making progress!

It was roasty toasty and we sat on the swing set and talked while it burned down! A perfect date night!

--BUCKETS--

Aunt Shasta and Uncle JP sent Julia these buckets for her birthday.  They are probably the toy that gets used the most around here. The kids love stacking them, they love putting things in the individual cups (like snacks!)
and they love fighting over them!
Yesterday morning Kevin had swim lessons, Julia and I stayed home, in the hour Cody and Kev were gone, I was able to clean my house spotlessly. I realized this morning there was one mirror I didn't shine, but other then that it was spic n span.
Before the boys got home, I watched Julia do the stacking herself!

Proud of her hard work!

And now tower is fun til it is knocked down!

And a cute video of her stacking too!

I have to go....my homemade meat balls are finished and being served...
Did I mention--
I'm a lucky girl!
