The Turkey Boy

Be sure to keep reading so you can see the
BIRTHDAY BOY!!!

JD and his family joined us for Thanksgiving!
I LOVE that they are SO much closer.
It was another fun trip filled with lots of game playing.
Have I mentioned I LOVE GAMES?

Here is sweet little Madie with Mr. Potato Heads Glasses.

And I had to add these pictures of Julia.
This is where we find her quite often!

We love her.

Now... the turkey boy!
Cody took on the role of head chef.
He did a fabulous job!
The turkey was soo good and sooo moist.
Does that happen?
it does at our house! :)

Soaking the turkey at 1 AM
Yes. 1 AM!
You can only imagine the laughs that were had here.

And the jokes that were made.
It was 1 AM... they were funny then!
I must say, I'm glad we bought a 2nd turkey, Cody was quite the hit doing his turkey prep.
I'm glad I'll get to watch one more time between now and next Thanksgiving!!

Pulling out the goods.

Thanksgiving morning.
After a run for propane the Chef was hard at work and as entertaining as ever!

MMmm...Spices.

Our whole neighborhood smelt divine.

The after.

Carving the turkey.

And, a picture just for my Dear Ol Dad.
Us, ready to chow!

I woke my kids up to eat. I felt guilty leaving them in their beds for Thanksgiving Dinner.
After the prayer, Kevin asked if he could go back to bed.
And I put Julia in bed too and they slept for a few more hours while we enjoyed a very quite dinner.
It was oh so good.
Cody has now taken on the duty of Turkey cooking for the rest of our lives.

Oh, don't forget to read the next post to see all of Kevin's birthday pictures!
