Between my kids and Christmas projects (but mostly my kids.)
I've been overwhelmed.
Here's a quick catch up!
Kevin was super excited to have Branden and Tyler come over and see his new moto!
Kevin took Branden for a few rides around the loop!
Kevin's birthday was one that kept on giving.
He and Julia LOVE playing with the track.
We've now gone through 5 sets of batteries on these little cars.
I told Cody we should get stock in a battery company.
Between all of Kevin's new presents, we've gone through several packs already!
A few pictures of our Christmas decor.
The tree before the big fall!
Kevin was antsy to have his own tree up. After several days of begging and one night of getting in trouble. Cody finally got up way before work and took Kevin out to cut the tree down!
The kids and I then spent the next few hours decorating the house! They were so excited to see all the Christmas goodies I had hidden in boxes. It was a lot of fun for all of us!
Kevin started the flu for our family 2 weeks ago. Then Julia followed suit.
This is her sacked out with Daddy, minutes before throwing up all over her dear ol' Dad!
And since we are on the subject of this little peanut,
I guess you all should know
She
starts NURSERY TOMORROW!
YAHOO! YEHAW! WOOOOOWIE!!!!
I'm not going to lie. We're worried. We are picturing this not going so well.
You see, Julia has developed a gnarly case of Stranger Danger.
Wait, no, PEOPLE danger.
Like our door bell just rang (it's the mail man) and she is SCREAMING bloody murder at the THOUGHT of someone coming into our house.
I picked up our babysitter the other night. He is a good family friend and we see him a lot.
The second he opened the car door the bawling, screaming, frantic-ness began and did NOT stop until I rocked her to sleep when we got home.
When I do hair, she cries from the second someone walks in until they leave. UNLESS I am holding her.
Occasionally her very sweet brother can make her forget momentarily, but as soon as she sees the individual again, it starts ALL over!
On an up note-
and a few sour notes too-
Here are some things about her...
-She loves throwing things away (so long a few of Kevin's birthday presents)
-She has learned how to open and close her bedroom door all by herself, and will spend a good 30 minutes doing it over and over and over again.
-Do to her People Danger, she is even more attached to her binkie and blanket then she's ever been.
-She has mastered the following animal sounds
*cat*dog*cow*fish*shark*elephant*
-She L.O.V.E.S. coloring!!!!!!
-some of her new words are
*cracker*milk*cereal*treat*please*grape*apple*adios*
and will try saying most things.
-She loves pointing at pictures on our fridge, her very favorites are one of Aunt Katie and Uncle Logan and one of Lucy of course! (she attempts to say all of their names, Lucy is starting to sound more like lucy. Katie and Logan on the other hand... we're working on it!)
-She has developed the most ANNOYING blood curdling scream that she likes to use at about 3AM!
Despite the sour notes. We love this little girl. She has a ginormous, hard to read personality. She is full of flair and is very passionate about the things she wants and likes.
I've said it 1,000 times and I'll say it again.
We are blessed.
I love my husband/
I love my kids.
I'm grateful.
I'm happy!

I hope nursery goes well and that she magically gets over the stranger danger before she comes here!
How did nursery go?! Today was the first day Hudson let me leave without crying (Two months of this), only to have Corey bring him to me 15 min before church was over with a GINORMOUS goose-egg on his forehead... go figure. My pediatrician said that stranger danger starts right about 18 months. Convenient for us moms that are so ready to attend sunday school for the first time in months. Oh, well. It passes, just not as soon as we'd like :)
