My sweet father commented and then called to inform me that my last update was rather depressing.
I think one of his exact quotes was, "I've never read a novel so long that was so depressing!"
I thought I'd better redeem myself.
You see it is the big
Day of <3 !
This morning the kids both came into my room, so while we were laying in bed cuddling I told Kevin that today was Valentines Day. His response...
AGAIN?
He had a party last week and then the kids both took Valentines to their church class yesterday.
I guess the kid is loved out.
I told him YES again and that I was really happy to spend the day with him!
He gave his breakfast request of
Cream of Wheat!
(and this morning he said, CREAM OF WHEAT, instead of his usual Gramma wheee. makes me sad and happy all at the same time. I hate that he is growing up, but he was pretty proud of himself for mastering the name.)
Both kids were SUPER surprised to find these when I put them up to the bar for breakfast.
One of my favorite things about being a Mom is little things like this!
My Mom always had the same thing for us on Valentines Day. It was never anything big, but always something special and just from her! I loved it!
When told the kids to fold their arms today, Kevin belted, MY TURN!
His prayer was super cute.
Please bless we eat our breakfast and be healfy and bless we make loooooots of projects today and then he ended.
And you can bet your last buck that in about 22 seconds Kevin had that construction paper cut into 7,000 microscopic pieces. The kids ecstatic about his own pair of scissors.
They have both painted today, colored with markers, and they are both looking forward to making brown paper bag puppets when Kevin wakes up!
After breakfast and crafting we were barely reaching 8:00, I had gone out to check the oil and refill the windshield washer fluid in my car (be proud Dad!) and it was BEAUTIFUL outside. The sun was shining, the snow was still melting. The kids threw their jackets on and we went out and rode our bikes and pushed Julia in the stroller around the circle. It was very refreshing, very rejuvenating and the PERFECT way to wash away the winter blues.
We also had a living room lunch picnic and watched word world.
(Why do they devour their food when we have picnics of any sort, but the other meals, they hardly touch?)
And we will be wrapping up the day with pink waffles for dinner.
Our favorite breakfast for dinner.
Happy Love day to you all!!!
XOXO

So, I guess I have no excuse to feel bad for myself now. Taylor just started is next rotation and he is working 12 hour shifts (at the least) and hour away, so he is NEVER home. I am excited that you are prego and that it is all going well. I'm still working on Taylor. We need to catch up! Love ya girl!
