We've got Projects coming our of our noses people!
They are everywhere you turn.
We have a closet door that needs painting and installing.
We have a front door that needs one more coat of paint and installing.
We just got a rockin' deal on a new, never been used sliding door for $125 on craigslist that needs paint and installing.
I've got bar stools that have primer on them that need paint.
I've got a window that has primer on it that needs paint and 4 hooks attached. (It's going to be my towel rack in my master bath!)
I have a little plack that is primed that will soon be painted and say Eternity.
I have 4 frames from goodwill that need painting and hung.
On an up note...
After living in our house for 1 year and 6 months
I went on a shopping spree this week and we are finally looking "Put Together!" Instead of hand-me-downed and mismatched!
(Don't be deceived, most things are still hand-me-downed, they have just received fresh paint or a make over of some sort!)
our main bathroom is now decorated! I LOVE IT!
I bought a black slip cover for our blue couch. I'm looking for matching end tables that I LOVE! (not only the look but the price too!)
I FINALLY have 2 pictures of the Idaho Falls temple adorning my walls. One in the living room and one in the dining room.
I also bought a Ginormo painting of some flowers for my dining room! LOVE THEM TOO!
I also purchased a center piece for our kitchen table... a plant people. I haven't had a plant in 4 years. (LIKE EXACTLY, did you know that APRIL 2, (tomorrow) will be Cody's 4 year anniversary at Harley, which only means that on March 28, 4 years ago we entered the great Wisco for the first time!)
I'm looking for the PERFECT plant to put in my living room inside of a large hurricane.
Can I tell you what better spirits a little bit of sunshine, a little bit of slave labor, and a LOT of decor has put me in. I feel happier when I walk in my house, I feel more put together, and I feel calmer.
It's been worth EVERY penny!
We have a GINORMO project coming up here soon...
Cody's not looking forward to it, but he will do it!
Our room and Julia's room share a wall, the closet wall. Our closets span the ENTIRE length of the wall even though the doors are just normal sizes, which means, the last 4 feet of either of our closets in wasted. Whatever is stored back there can not be accessed, At least not easily.
I had the genius idea to make Julia's closet normal sized, to add a door to our room and to make our 2 overflow spaces one, for a lovely walk in closet!
I'm excited!
It should be fun! (When it's done!)
Along with all of these projects, we have Kevin's projects too. Tonight before bed we were all given a piece of construction paper and crayons and a piece of tape.
We were instructed to make a rainbow and tape it to the sliding door.
We learned quickly why Cody graduated with such a low GPA, he's terrible at following directions. He made an airplane landing on a runway! (One track mind!)
Regardless of the error, all of our pictures are now hanging up and looking as good as ever. And Kevin was content to fall into bed.
My kids are getting big and hilarious. I could tell you hours of stories, but since I just gave you an hour run down on our projects, here is one for each.
Child #1-
Had pink eye. When I was giving him his drops on Day #1 I told him, "you have to either let Mommy give you some drops or we are going to have to go to the doctor!" With little fight I administered the drops.
Day #2, Kevin it's time to give you eye drops. Kevin's reply, "It's okay Mom, you can call the doctor. They'll give me a sticker anyway!"
BACK FIRE!!!!!
I called Cody to have him talk sense into the child. No SUCH luck!
I finally told him that I was giving the drops and a sticker and that was that.
We stopped to get drinks at Sonic and Kevin asked if he could say a prayer.
I let him, it was sweet, a tear or two spilled over-board.
(a little back ground, Julia had just puked all over in my car)
Dear Heavenly Father, Please bless we like something (that's his weird way of saying these are the things we are thankful for!) like our car, our house, and our Dad. Bless Julia stop puking, Bless that I can get 1 drop in my eye. Bless Mom drive safe, and Bless Dad at work.
It was super sweet, it was just what I needed and it was just what he needed to get an eye drop.
He's cured. Julia on the other hand came down with it today.
Child #2.
Same day, after puking, after stopping to get a drink, after prayer.
We are driving home and it's quite and from the back seat in the sweetest voice I hear,
vamanos, agua, adios, hola, dos, tres, tuatro, cinco, tres.
She was going through her Spanish vocabulary (which is growing daily!)
I was shocked. She's never counted beyond 1,2,3, in Spanish especially.
She then proceeded to count in English.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9.
I was a proud Mom.
I said, "Julia, Good girl! Good counting!"
Kevin then counted in Spanish (he couldn't be out done by his little sis!) and when he was finished Julia turned to him and said, "Good boy Kevin, Good counting!"
(On an up-note, my car is spotless, I cleaned the carpets, the car seats, and vacuumed. Wish it didn't take a puke fest for it to happen though!)

#3-
The gender reveal is creeping closer! :)
He/She is kicking more and more.
I LOVE IT!
I love my children!
(and I love, love, love my husband!!!!!)
I'm grateful to be a wife and a mother.

Say girl, we know someone with a Suburban that contains the results of a puke fest that has not totally been cleaned out yet. I suppose that would require a plane trip to Idaho to resolve. I am broke so I guess I will get it myself. Great Blog. Mom and I laughed until we almost cried. We love you and wish we could be there to help in the Projects program you have in operation. By the way,I understand they have college courses for coloring a rain bow and making airplanes. It would be an answer to Kevo's prayer.
