*This is my 4th post tonight, but 5th one of today, for more goodness keep reading. For a funny, wet your pants kind of funny story, read the 5th one!*
Today Kevin had his 4 year check up. It was a stressful day. I shouldn’t have told him about it. He was emotional from the time he woke up until it was over. He was HORRIBLE for the shots and later apologized. I think he finally realized he was being a bit ridiculous. For example, he was crying, kicking and screaming and trying to fight me and the nurse off (I won!) and as soon as she put the band aid on I said, “Oh cool! Iron Man!” He stopped dead in his tracks and in a nonchalant voice, “CAN I SEE?” UGH! The joys of being the Mom I suppose. I’m sure it would have gone totally different had it not been his 3rd or maybe 4th day in a row with out a nap. He needed one today and yesterday but too many fun things going on.
He is 3’5” tall- 58%
36 lbs. 9 oz. –51%
Kevin had to do an eye test today. It was super fun. When he was finished he ran down the hall and said, “Yes! I passed, I don’t have to get glasses!” Made me laugh.
The doctor had him draw a circle, a square, and a little boy. I wish I had asked to keep the paper. His little boy was so cute. He had the doctor laughing pretty good. We LOVE our doctor Jain and our Nurse Marcia. They are soo good to us. I love that Dr. Jain asked us today how our trip out west was. We haven’t seen her in almost 3 months. I <3 her.
Lacey was the next victim.
She is 25.5 inches- 74%
12 lbs. 10 oz. –12% Due to the minimal weight gain and Lacey performing her ability to spit up she was put on an acid reflux med. Tomorrow will be day one. I’m hoping it makes a difference. (I think I asked for this… the acid reflux thing. Before I had Lacey I cleaned my carpets. I had been babysitting a baby that spit up on occasion and I wanted nice clean carpets for Lacey to roll around on. Ewww. they are anything BUT now. Thanks baby Girl!)
Lacey’s head, 39.5 cm-4% The doctor laughed, like really laughed, out loud. I think she said, “she has such a small head, good thing she has all that hair to disguise it!”
Lacey was all smiles and all spits for her appointment.
Do you ever feel like you are trying to prove to your doctor that your kid is indeed as awesome as you think. I’m not just telling you all this stuff, but really, he/she can do it. Well, Lacey performed very well today so I didn’t have to do much talking. She rolled over on the table, smiled, laughed, followed the light. All the things the doctor usually asks about.

Hope the meds work for Lacey! We have had Eliza on two different kinds and they didn't really help her. She is gaining weight still so that is good, but the spitting could make a person (mom) go mad! We tried Zantac and Prilosec. She had been fussy too and I think the Prilosec helped with the discomfort, but she still spit up just as much :(
