Hi! Did ya miss us?
We’ve been busy! With what? Story time and Art time at the library. Spring cleaning. 9 bags of clothes left our house. 2 went to a baby girl that will be here this summer, the other 7 good will!
Along with those 7 bags of clothes went an entire trunk load of SH-TUFF! Holy Moly. Where does it all come from?
We’ve also been doing jobs… which ones?
Kevin now dumps and re-lines all the garbage’s, Julia sorts all of the laundry. They’ve also learned to sweep, fold towels, empty and load the dish washer, clear the dinner table, and of course pick up their toys. They’re happy about their new found skills, and I’m happy that they understand why it’s so important to clean up after ourselves. I think one of the greatest things my Parents taught me was how to clean.
We’ve also gone on a few walks and stomped through a few puddles. (and DONE LOTS and LOTS of loads of MUDDY clothes!)
Attempted several snow men and thrown a few snowballs!
We’ve painted and gone sledding. We’ve enjoyed play dates at McDonalds Toy Land, and had friends, LOTS of friends over for lunch.
Oh, and the crummies caught up to us. We all squeaked by with runny noses and a light cough, Julia however was knocked FLAT on her back. Five ROTTEN days of a high fever, restless nights, fever, coughing, fever, loss of appetite, fever, sneezing, oh and a fever! It was a long miserable 5 days. I slept with her every night til about 3:00 AM when her fever would finally break and she would finally sleep peacefully….. For a WHOPPIN’ 2 hours. Why doesn’t this girl sleep? I had such a lovely work out routine going on in the wee hours of the morning. She pretty much kiboshed that, although, her sweet daddy does say every morning, “Go! I’ll watch her!” But then I feel guilty, so I don’t always. But, I have committed to running a 10K this spring. So I’ve amped up my LAZY work outs. Today my legs are a burnin!!!
We’ve also been getting oodles of pictures of our niece’s and nephews. Samuel is army crawling and Emmy Lou joined our family on March 5. We are so excited for Logan and Katie, There is NOTHING in this world more rewarding than children.
Oh, and we must not forget Madie Pie. Her parents have her on a strict diet. I love my nieces and nephews. Every darn one of them.
I also LOVE getting picture texts of my Daddy. Us kids, we bought him this moose. (Tessa, I know I owe you!) Years ago on Christmas we all bought my Dad different moose statues, ornaments, figurines, you name it, we bought it, as a joke, and now it doesn’t end. Tessa saw this Moose at Costco a few weeks ago, and couldn’t pass it up! I die laughing every time I see this picture.
I’ve also been busy watching my kids play make believe. They are fishing here. The water was on the other side of the door, so they had to throw the line *my sewing measuring tape over the top of the door.
These early wake up times, also mean we’ve been busy having lots of naps. One of our friends gave us a crib for Lacey, so she now naps in style. Dark Cherry Wood? Yes please!
We’ve also been busy with jewelry. Yes, WE! Cody has been my big helper making displays. I now keep an inventory of 200 pieces. Loved hosting my first party and I have 4 more before the month is over!!! Super fun, Super easy, and a great way to earn some extra money. I Love Paparazzi.
We’ve also been busy getting oil changes on the car and the truck. For the car we walked across the street to McDonalds. The dealership called me with in the hour to tell me we were set. So, with the truck, we opted for the waiting room. As you can see, it took a lot longer. 1 hour and 51 minutes in that lovely waiting room. I’m grateful my kids were gems!!!
I took this picture of myself, My brother in Law Dillon, sent me back the 2nd picture. I Loved it! (and I also love funny mirrors! I have several pictures of my self from the kids’ doctor office similar to this one.)
A few more pictures trying to pass the time.
We’ve also been busy with Doctor Appointments. Lacey just had her 6 month check up! WHAT?
I know! crazy!!!
She weighs 14 lbs 10 oz! 14.69%
Her head took a major growth spurt, from the 4% to the 15%. It’s full of brains… what can we say.
And she is in the 81% for height. I believe she said 27 inches.
We also talked surgery at this appointment. It took all the will power I had to keep my tears in check. Only a few tipped over the edge. It is hard to explain, but I shall try. Lacey’s lip is attached to her gums and needs to be clipped. Which isn’t completely uncommon, the uncommon part is the amount of lip that runs between her gums. We meet with a Dentist on the 21st who will then refer us to a Oral Surgeon. We are still working with our insurance company to find out what they will do. Our pediatrician says it should be done but does not HAVE to be done. If it is something we can afford, we hope to have it done soon. (The sooner the better.)
It is such a minor thing, but the thought of her being in pain, or not being comfortable to eat just KILLS me! KILLS ME I TELL YOU!
We’ve also been busy with date nights. We trade a few friends on a regular basis so that we can have some alone time! It has been WONDERFUL! Last weekend we took the week off and had a family date night. Kevin took these pictures to document the night…
Adventures of Tin Tin, Popcorn, Nerds, Soda, and Chinese food. We had a super fun night.
Here’s my proof.
And now, it’s time to get busy again… What’s for dinner????

Don't know if you remember me or not, but I went to Hawthorne and Highland with Tessa. (I came over to your house quite a few times.) I played volleyball with Tessa as well. I happened over from her blog and saw the part about surgery on Lacey's lip. My daughter Avery had the same exact surgery done last summer when she was two. She had a lot of lip going through her teeth as well and we had to see the oral surgeon. Recovery was a breeze, because the mouth heals so quickly. My insurance covered it as well. I would suggest doing it soon as my daughters speech was affected until we got it corrected. Hope that makes you feel a little better about the whole thing.
