Is this the same kid?

I don’t know if you remember… I do, QUITE WELL ACTUALLY, how awful Lacey’s birth was. Awful as in terrible and awful as in awfully fast. Resulting in this… (P.S. Cody did NOT show me this picture until about 2 months ago. I had no clue how bruised she looked minutes after being born.) This picture makes me tear up. Poor girl.

Two days later… so much better. (although if she opened her eyes they were BRIGHT red.)

And at 3 months, here hair is no longer black, but a nice pretty red color.

8 months it’s more of a light brown.

10 months it’s pretty much blonde.

And then today…

My Sister in Law, Katie, is almost certain that this baby and baby at 3 months are not the same child. And honestly…. I guess I’m not so sure! Just kidding!!! Smile
Lacey had her one year check up today.
She was 17 lbs 8 oz- 3.9%- The doctor said she compared her to Kevin and Julia’s growth charts and although she is tiny, she is following their growth patterns to a T.
She was 29 1/2 inches tall putting her at the 62% for height.
She hated every second of her appointment. Stranger danger + doctor + weird objects + physical contact= one arm wrapped tightly around my neck, lip quivering, and occasional hysterical tears. Then the shots and the finger prick for the lead test, the flood gates opened and she was U-P-S-E-T! Which resulted in blood shot eyes coupled with some serious dark bags and a gooooooooood long afternoon nap.
And me grateful that doctors appointments are less traumatic for me the third child around….
BUT, she is happy and healthy, and right on track. She does however have a 15 month check up, (neither of the other kids did) because she is no where close to walking… Julia had a threat of physical therapy and she got her rear in gear just in the nick of time… lets hope Lacey is good to go in 3 months!
If you can’t tell, we are obsessed with this girl.
We are blessed and we know it!

I have internet! I am all caught up on your blog. It made me miss your kiddos all the more. I can't wait for November when I get to see them in person!
