A quick update

-Kevin has become quite the artist and is really excelling in school! He still loves projects and quickly jumps from one activity to another, never slowing for a minute. It kills him that he still has to nap, but after last night ( he skipped his nap yesterday) I can attest that he still needs them very much!

-Lacey is fun! I painted her fingernails for the first time on Wednesday. She looked oh so girly! I loved it! She still has a bottle and will probably have it until she is 10. She drinks out of a sippy during the day and out of a cup at meals, but for fear of her growing up I can't seem to take the bottle away for bedtime.

-Yesterday afternoon I was on the phone and I could hear Lacey hollering in a bedroom. I asked Kevin to go open the door for her, but she had pulled the drawer out on the vanity in the bathroom and the door wouldn't open. Before coming to get me Kevin went into rescue mode and went to get chop sticks out of the kitchen, smashing his fingers in the drawer. He attempted to push the drawer back but the chopsticks couldn't grab anything. He came to me scared for Lacey and crying cause his fingers were hurting. Poor kid! I tried a few other tools with no luck. I went in the garage for hunt #2 and spotted Kevin's bow and arrow. The Arrow was just the right size to set the now screaming baby free! Poor Kevin. I was proud of his quick thinking though.

-Julia is still our little fire ball. She tried my patience daily. Her trigger word is "hurry!" And as hard as I try I end up using it daily and the results are a far cry from what I was after. If we race, things go so much smoother. Julia is also really improving in school. She wishes she could go every day too. She learned to write her name this summer and since starting school she has really perfected her letter writing. While Kevin is gone during the day she loves puttering. She has recently taken up interest in our doll house and she loves taking care of the babies and the horses.

-Cody- everyone has been asking what's going on with Cody's job. I really don't have a ton of information. Turns out relocating is kind of like being in limbo land. I have a new found sense of compassion for anyone that is trying to sell, relocate, and buy simultaneously! What a stress.

So this is the Low Down. We really had our eyes set on Harley-Davidson Brazil in Miami because of Cody's language skill, that seemed like destiny for us. In August a gal Cody works with told him about this job in New Hampshire. It really wasn't anything that was even on our radar. It is an Area Rep. Position. Cody will be over 15 dealers in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Boston Massachusetts. We can leave pretty much any where in those areas, but we want to be as centrally located as we can be to all the dealers and have chosen central New Hampshire. His official start day is November 1. He will have a 3 month training/transition time where he will be spending about 70% of his time in Milwaukee. Hopefully by the time that is over our house will have sold! We meet with the relocation peeps on Monday to discuss a few things and to get a realtor, then things can really start moving along.
The house projects are wrapping up. I've already packed a big majority of our things to clean out all the closest and shelves. As stressful as this is, I'm trying my best to not let it affect me that way, we went to the temple the week after we learned about this job and it was very apparent that this was a better decision for our family. If we are going where The Lord would have us go, it has to work out. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

We are excited!!!
And, we are blessed and we know it!!!
