Odds and Ends.

One of our friends gave Cody a gift certificate to Jake's, a super d duper yummy restaurant, for his graduation present. We eat like Kings and even had dessert. It was divine!

Happy Graduation Cody!

The night before Grandma and Grandpa came the kids had a hard time going to bed. They were sooooo excited to see them. I snagged this cute picture of Cody reading to them.

After going to the Hibachi Grill earlier this year with some friends, I've been telling Cody that we have to take the kids there for a special treat. Well, Grandma and Grandpa provided that special treat. Julia and Lacey ate more food in one setting then they've had their entire life. Kevin was a bit nervous, I think because he was front and center, but we all loved it! MMM... My Mouth waters just thinking about it.

Afterwards we went to Oscars to fill in any possible cracks that were left with Kit Kat Custard. Oh my word it was good, and again, my kids stuffed themselves.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

After going nearly a week without a bath for Lacey the kids enjoyed a bath together in our much deeper, much prettier new white bath!  AHHH!!!  I loved it, they loved it. It was wonderful.

On Saturday, the boys went golfing and the girls went shopping, and of course we had to make a dessert run that night for DQ!

And on Sunday we took a drive to enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Lake Geneva was beautiful, as always! We lucked out and Grandma and Grandpa were here for Kevin's primary program. He did super good. When it was over he came and hugged me and started crying, I asked what was wrong and he said, "I was so nervous!" But, he did great.

On Saturday afternoon we also tie-dyed shirts with Grandma. I need to get a picture of all the kids together. They turned out so super cute.

And this is an old picture, (as in two weeks old) With Kevin being around all the new germs at school he has had a rough couple of patches with his dang lungs. Luckily, we have been able to get him all cleared out in time to go to school. He sure is a trooper!

It's hard to believe the last week went by so fast. We took Cody's parents to the airport last night. The night before Julia said, "Can we not just drop them off, can we go inside to say bye!" Her wish was granted. Poor Kevin does not handle good byes well at all and had a rough time saying bye and didn't want to leave until he couldn't see Gma and Gpa anymore. When we  got home the kids were jumping in the leaves when we heard screaming, I ran out to hear them yelling Good bye to Grandma and Grandpa's plane as it flew over our house. This morning he said, "can't they just come back to play some more!" He loved having them here. He loved working and golfing with Grandpa, he loved the bottomless suitcase of Grandma's that just kept pulling out surprise after surprise after surprise, he also loved playing in the leaves with Grandma.  Thanks again for coming Grandma and Grandpa. We are blessed and we know it.

I look up to you so much, Jessica. Hopefully one day I'll be as great a mom as you.
