I'm Thankful!

Tis the season I suppose for a Thankful post.

The kids (especially Kevo) were having an especially difficult time this morning when they woke up and Cody was no where to be found. And since our house is was spotless, it seemed like a perfect day to have a kids day!

While Kevin was at school Julia and I made chocolate covered pomegranates YUM!  Make them, like right now!  BUT before you do, watch the YouTube video Pomegranate Seeding Trick, we had our babies seeded in no time at all! It was beautiful! And then...you can eat them as soon as they harden, or for an even yummier chunk of goodness, freeze those bad boys, and EVERY time you walk by the freezer throw some in your mouth. OH MY YUMMY! Thank you Tessa for the idea.

We also prepped all the stuff for Kevin and Julia and their three little friends to make Thankful turkeys. They turned out really cute. We ALSO made turkey sugar cookies. They turned out yummy and cute considering I could only use stuff I had on hand since this was a last second idea.

Friends arrived and we made lunch and then decorated cookies, and then made turkeys, and then we all fell into bed. (Well, they all did! I grabbed a DR. Pepper 10 and some chocolate covered pomegranates, and made my own Thankful turkey!)

We really do have a LOT to be thankful for. Those are just a few,
I'd also add to that list
-That I'm a Stay at Home Mom
-That my kids love making projects with me
-That we have a fabulous house to live in
-That we have super d duper awesome neighbors
-That we are self sufficient
-That my parents taught me to be a hard worker
-That my parents taught me to be respectful to everyone
(Those two things alone have taken me far in my life!)
-my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
-That Cody has a super sweet, quite flexible job, that we are loving to the max already.
(It's so sweet that we are having a hard time trying to figure out when to use our last 4 vacation days. It's hard to justify using them when he has been able to come home whenever we have needed him or really wanted him!)
-We are grateful that Cody is currently in New Hampshire, exploring our new place of residence. He has promised lots of pictures, (Kevin loves them!) This is the first one that we got, It is a mini dump truck. Soo cute, don't you LOVE New England already?!

Tonight for family home evening we will be talking more about things that we are Thankful for and I am so excited. I love picking these little brains that live at my house... they come up with some of the greatest things.

We are Blessed and we Know it!

*We had a few funny conversations take place yesterday, this is the only one I can remember right now, so I'll jot it down.
Kevin and Julia were in the kitchen making a project.
K-Julia did you know that there are no more dinosaurs on the earth?
J-(amazed) They are all gone?!
K-Yep, Dead!
J-That's ok, they live with Jesus now.
K-No they don't!
J-Yes they do, if they died, they live with Jesus.
K-Julia, these are DINOSAURS!

It was so cute and so funny!  Wish I could have remembered their other funnies, I felt like I was giggling all day at them.
