14 months

This baby is turning into a big girl, right before my very own eyes.

Sadly, this is how she feels about life right now.

I don't know what her deal is. She had a fever on Monday, so we figured she caught the flu too,
but now she has had 3 V.E.R.Y. grouchy days in a row.
You know it is bad when you take her to the lake and she screams BLOODY murder when you set her in the sand by the water.
Usually that is a day maker...not a breaker!
If you looked at her side ways, or better yet said, "Julia, can you walk?" She'd burst in to hysterics.
Seriously.
The whole 9 yards, furrowed eye brows, screaming, or crying, arched back, flipping around like a fish out of water. YIKES STRIPES!
I hope this clears up soon or else I am going to drop her off at the **homeless shelter!

It's quite odd, we had Kevin figured out early on. 97.8 percent of the time, we new what he wanted.
Julia on the other hand, NOT A CHANCE.
She NEVER naps at the same time. Some days she doesn't nap at all.
If Kevin was fussy, a cup of milk would fix it.
If she's fussy, we try her Bink, water, milk, food, a nap, putting a pair of shoes on her hands...
It is just so odd to me.
I thought it was just me, but after staying home with the kids on Sunday,
Cody said, ' I just can not figure her out!'

Despite all these things, we love this girl to no end. She is VERY entertaining and full of a very GIRLY personality!

The latest in JuJu's book
-She now takes 4 steps at a time (ON HER OWN TERMS PLEASE!)
-She loves having her teeth brushed
-She got her first haircut tonight and sat so still for it
(just a little trim on the back, I cleaned up her scraggly neckline and stacked her hair in the back a bit!)
-She drinks out of a regular cup really well, despite being good at it, she gets a thrill out of dumping the cold water down the front of her shirt, ON PURPOSE!
-She loves drinking out of a straw, when we hit the drive through for ice cream, she'd so rather have a cup of water.
-She points and grunts. Not normal grunting though, it is almost as though she is carrying on an entire conversation in gruntish! I always answer back and she'll go on for ever. It's our special way of communicating :)
-She loves doing whatever Kevin is doing which also results in a lot of madness. He doesn't like her to mess up his motorcycle ramps or line of cars or row of crayons.
-And, from the previous post, she LOVES stacking her buckets!!!!!

Here is a little video. Although she does say, You're welcome instead of Please!

** I had every intention of having this a Julia post, but there is a story about the homeless shelter.
On our way home from tennis lesson on Monday Kevin was being a pill. I told him to stop or I would drop him off at the homeless shelter.
 In a frantic yell,
"No, Mom! I don't want to go to WALMART!"
OH MY, we were in stitches the rest of the night!

OK so it MUST be a girl thing because riley is only 5 months old and I feel the same way!!! She sleeps only when she wants eats when she wants and hard as I try i just can't get her on any sort of good schedule. AJ was so much more predictable!!! Well, At least julia is freakin cute! Don't drop her off at the homeless shelter quite yet! :)

I'm that way with my second. I cannot figure him out! He is totally opposite from my first. Maybe she is teething? Grouchy + fever might be teething. I hate to say it but I'm glad I'm not the only one going through the grumpy, tantrum stage of the early toddler. Sheesh. Lets pray for each other!

I love how you write about your kids and the milestones they are experiencing. They are two lucky kids to have such a fun and observant mom! Reading about Julia's haircut made me miss you all over again! Logan and his moppy hair style is in desperate need of someone who has understood him since he was too little to talk. Want to come visit? lol
