A touching conversation.

...becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.
-Mosiah, 3:19

On Saturday we had the oppertunity to attend a funeral for an amazing man.
I took my kids with me.
(I hate paying babysitters unless I'm going on a date!)
Cody was grumbly that I was dragging them along.
After this conversation happened, he no longer cared.

I told Kevin we were at a funeral. That my friend's Daddy had died.
K- What happen Mom?
M-Laurie's Daddy died.
K- What happen?
M- He tripped and fell and bonked his head.
K- Oh? Him Ok?
M- Yes, he died but now he lives with Heavenly Father.
K- Oh? Him not have owies now.
M- Nope.
K- Him happy now huh Mom!
M-Yes he is very happy!
K-Good!

It was the sweetest conversation I've ever had with Kevin.
To have the faith of a little child.
So forgiving, so loving, so eager to learn.
Cody and I were both touched.

I'm sure I will never have a letter sent from the First Presidency that is to be read at my funeral, as this man had, but I have a renewed determination to do better, to be better, and to serve others.

I'm touched.
I'm changed.
