The Birthday Boy.

The Big Birthday Bash!
It's hard to believe Kevin is 3.
I also can't believe how much fun it is when my kids have birthdays.
I think we ALL had a fun day.

We'll start with the night before.
Daddy getting all the prep work done and taking it for a spin so it would be in TIP-TOP shape come morning time!

We started the morning with a breakfast of french toast.
And then we opened presents!

Candy land was the last present.
Then we made him sit in the chair and get his shoes on.
He thought we were a little crazy!

Then for the big reveal.
I video taped it.
The cord is in Julia's room to the video camera and she is asleep.
I'll try to put it on here tomorrow.
(Just a side note. I was a horrible videographer and missed all the really good stuff!)
It was nearly impossible to get a decent picture.
He did NOT want to hold still.

Checking things out.

Helmet on! Ready to ride.

Kevin's first go. We let him drive by himself. But, after the bike warmed up we realized it still needs to be geared down (MORE, we already did it some) but we are going to have to order a part. So we started riding with him, which is more fun anyway.

There are only pictures of Daddy and Kevin, but I've taken my fair share of spins around the yard.
I LOVE IT!
I can't believe how much he has improved since the first ride.

After Daddy left to work. We played a few of Kevin's new games, had a nap, had a few visitors, and then JD, Ashlynn, Kevin, Julia, Madie and I went to the movie.
The kids were so good.
We came home got dinner ready.
Kevin's dinner of choice was cereal, so everyone else had Nachos.
Then it was cake time!

Tonight Kevin and I were putting a puzzle together so I asked him a few questions.
-What's your favorite color- Green and White
-What's your favorite movie- Diego and Dora
-What's your favorite thing to do outside- Ride my Motorcycle and my bike
-What's your favorite thing to eat- Water cake (referring to his birthday cake)
-What's your favorite toy- My Motorcycle

A few of Kevin's famous lines-
Oh, I'm sorry about that.
But Mom, It make me happy.
Are you serious?
Just Kidding.
I do like it Sam I am.
Un poquito (A little bit)
Por Favor (Please)
What are you talking about?

Kevin, we are so happy to have you in our family.  It was so fun spending your birthday day with you.  You were so excited and so thankful to everyone who came to visit and sent you presents. It made me very proud of you every time you said thank you!
You are so much fun. You love asking questions and knowing why everything does what it does. You always want to know what Mommy and Daddy are talking about. (Makes it hard to hide anything from you.)
You have a great big heart and are very compassionate.
One of my favorite things about you...
when Julia is asleep you beg me and beg me and beg me to let you go "check on her," which really means wake her up.
You  are very good at playing with Julia and you love being with her.
I love you Kevin.
Keep being a good boy!
Love, Mom

And a funny story to wrap up Kevin's birthday day.
He had talked to a bunch of people on the phone. Most of the conversations went the same way. (Turns out he isn't much of a phone talker. The few of you who got more then this are very lucky.)
The normal phone conversation-
Caller-Happy Birthday Kevin.
Kevin-Thanks, I got a new motorcycle, I love you bye!

When Cody was putting Kevin to bed he turned Dirty Jobs on on his phone and let Kevin watch it. About 20 minutes into it Kevin came out of the room and handed the phone to Cody.
Cody looked at it and realized someone was on the other line.
It was one of our friends.
Cody answered it, and come to find out... Kevin called to tell one more lucky person about his new motorcycle! :)

Thank you to all of you who sent/hand delivered presents and made phone calls to our Birthday boy.
