Can the day end already?
It started at 5:27 am. when the Princess woke us with her beautiful morning, get me out of bed *fake cry!*
In the time it took me to get her out of her room, to keep from waking Kevin, and tucked in bed between Mom and Dad, I was suddenly hot and sweaty and my insides wanted to be on my outsides.
I spent the next 6 1/2 hours in and out of the bathroom and cuddled under the blankets in my bed. Going between sweating to death and freezing to death.
(I'll leave all the details out!)
Cody was a gem and stayed home.
He fed the kids and got Kevin to and from school.
After fetching me a Pepsi and some chicken noodle soup and tucking us all into bed for our afternoon naps, he left for work.
Julia slept for...45 minutes.
I brought her out on the couch with me, since Kevin was tucked in my bed with me.
The early afternoon went fine.
At about 3:30, the devil himself took over my children.
It started with Kevin clearing the toy cupboard in 2.2 seconds.
Which resulted in Kevin climbing behind the Christmas tree, and then cleaning up the contents in 22.22 minutes
Following a quick trip to the bathroom, I walked into Julia's room to find all contents of the child's closet strung from one end of her room to the other, along with the contents of her shoe bin, and the contents of a paper bin.
After repeating, "Kevin this is naughty." Him following with, "I sorry!"
And him cleaning up everything that he could, he was banished to his room until Dad got home, and Julia my little parrot stood at my feet saying, 'Naughty Mom? Naughty? Sooooorrrrrrrrry! Daddy home? Naughty Mom, Naughty? Sooooorrrrry!"
During the clothes clean up, dinner prep, and dishwasher refill, Julia ventured into Kevin's room, and the next thing I know I have 2 naked kids. Kevin was kind enough to undress the both of them.
Since Daddy was taking waaaaay to long getting home. I let Kevin come out of his room after about 15 minutes. He walked into the living room and pulled Julia's hair.
To which I sent him to time out. He grabbed the time out rocking chair which was near the tree and lightly grabbed a single branch and just as he sat on the chair the Christmas tree came to a crashing halt a fraction of an inch from his left ear resting on the back of the time out chair.
(Remember earlier, Kevin climbed behind the tree, causing a LOT of movement and I'm sure is what resulted in the fall!)
Daddy walked in just now.
(to which Kevin owes his life!)
1 broken bulb and 1 ugly tree later
we vacuumed
ate dinner
and kids were tucked safely in bed just after 6:30!
I'm so excited for a new start tomorrow!
AND
the fact that the flu is moving on to it's next victim.
(which I fear is Daddy, since both kids had it last week, and he is feeling a little sluggish/sweaty tonight!)
Here's to a better day tomorrow!!!!
(My next post will have some pictures I promise!!!!!)

Wow what a day!
On your dashboard, go to stats. Then it has an audience tab. If you hit all time, it will highlight where all your audience is in the world. WHEW!
Eew! That sounds horrible. Glad to hear you're feeling better!
