To brag about my favorite
HUSBAND!
I don’t know how I got so lucky, but I’m grateful I did.
I’ve been thinking about these things for the last few weeks
Last week I had a client here telling me all these wonderful qualities my husband posses. Then I taught Young Women’s on Sunday and a few more of his fabulous qualities were brought to my attention.
Some of these qualities you ask-
*Cody is a huge people person. He can talk to anyone. He can meet on anyone’s level. One example, he is fluent in Spanish and has worked to master different accents within the Spanish Language. If he’s speaking to someone in Spain, he sounds Spanish, if he’s speaking to someone in Mexico he can sound Mexican. It goes further then that too. He knows something about everything (you may be saying, “Or so he thinks!” but he really does) Clearly he has mastered himself in the Motorcycle Industry, but if he is talking to a chef he knows enough about cooking to hold an intelligent conversation. If he is speaking to a dietician, he knows enough about that to talk to them. The list could go on and on, astronaut, chemist, you name it. And if he doesn’t know anything, he knows the best questions to ask and will remember EXACTLY what he was told. He is very good about making other people feel good about themselves and to feel important.
*Part of the reason Cody posses the above quality is because he has a love to learn. Something I covet. If time and money were not a question Cody could happily spend his life in college taking any and all courses. He loves to learn. Anything really. He soaks it ALL up. The last few years he has been studying Portuguese and recently went to Brazil and did very, VERY well with the language. A long time ago I bought a couple of packs of flashcards (ones that are way over my kids’ heads) for us to use. One was World Monuments the other was the States each card holds a list of what the state is famous for, ie. bird, food, flower, song. We did these cards ONCE, and he did pretty good on the Monuments. The ones he didn’t know I read him the card. Then a few months later I pulled them out again, he new all but maybe 1 or 2. This love of his has made me want to be a better learner (Gaining Knowledge was what I taught about on Sunday) and I am actually doing better. When I hear things I’m trying to store them.
* Cody is super awesome with our kids. Although he still calls it babysitting and probably always will, he is so good with them. He RARELY ever raises his voice. Like I’m sure I can count on one hand. (Another thing I am doing TONS better at.) Kevin got a new motorcycle for his birthday and went through a phase about a month ago where he wanted to fix his motorcycle. Cody spent an afternoon with Kevin taking it apart cleaning it and putting it back together. Kevin was in Heaven, and I’m sure Cody was too.
*He does whatever is asked of him whenever without ever complaining. EVER. (Umm…OK, so we’re talking church/work/kid related here! If I ask him to clean the bathroom, like I did in March it will still be dirty like it is now. ~Just to clarify a little, I have maintained the bathroom, but refuse to deep clean it, it’s waiting for him!)
* I could go on for days, but I’ll end with this last fabulous-
Cody loves surprising me at unexpected times. I could list hours worth of surprises (Note they are never on my birthday, Christmas, or Valentines Day they are always super random, which I love!) like for instance tonight I went to a meeting, I was gone for 50 minutes. I dropped Cody and the kids off at the car dealership to pick up my car. So, mind you he’s down to 30 minutes before I get home. When I came home the kids were dressed for bed, the house was straightened, and Cody had made no bake cookies with the kids. It melted my heart. It was the best surprise, and it was an even better surprise that he did the cookies with the kids.
My heart is full. I’m grateful for a series of events that lead me to meet Cody. I have a testimony that the Savior has a hand in our lives and knows the things we need and when we need them. I’m grateful for a loving and supportive husband.

Cody!
I’ll have more to blog about later. Cody took 3 days off of work this week for a week filled with fun Family outings. It’s been fabulous!
