Look at these two munchkins!
They L.O.V.E. playing in the water. They are both getting so brave. They like sticking their heads in. Especially with the goggles. Poor Julia hasn’t mastered the goggles yet, but she doesn’t care. She just wears them because Kevin is!
Aside from the 3 nights last week. Kevin has been sleeping in his own bed ALL night long! HOWEVER, he never falls asleep there. 70% of the time we find him in Julia’s room when we are going to bed (and I leave him there) the other 30% we find him in our bed (where I refuse to leave him!)
Regardless. Last night both children slept through the night. Cody and I didn’t get to bed until nearly midnight, but sleeping 5 straight hours (I automatically woke up at 5, that’s when Julia usually comes in. Today, she waited til 6 though!) was fabulous!!!
As previously mentioned, Cody was home most of the week last week. It actually felt as though he were home all week. He came home early on Tuesday because I was in being monitored at the hospital because baby Lacey was being a crazy girl. Then he didn’t have to go back to work until today.
Tuesday we went out for dinner. Yum!
Wednesday we hit the zoo first thing. It was a fabulous day at the zoo and Kevin LOVED showing Cody around.
We got to go up to the Giraffe feeding. Dude, those things have LONG tongues! Super fun to watch.
After the Zoo we left the kids with a sitter and made a quick but lovely trip to the temple.
Thursday morning we headed to an indoor water park. It was super awesome. (No pictures. It’s hard to keep an eye on kids and snap pics at the same time.)
About 2 hours into our super fun adventure Kevin started to complain about his neck hurting. He quickly went down hill. We came home and put him to bed. Needless to say between Thursday and Sunday we battled fevers, throwing up, headaches, and neck aches. And topped it all off with a mouth full of canker soars.
I’m happy to report, He’s golden today! For the first time since his nap on Thursday he woke up happy this morning. The first words out of his mouth, “Hi Mom! I feel ALL better!” Ahh. Those words were music to my ears. It’s stressful on this Mama to have sick kids.
Despite the sickness, Friday we went rummage selling. Turns out we are all addicted. We also enjoyed Lunch at Sonic (I LOVE a Cherry Limeaid Chiller) a LONG refreshing nap, and installed a new front door. (Made a huge difference for our house!)
Saturday was a special day, it’s the day we got ready for Sunday. We just did little projects around the house and cleaned up all our messes so we’d have a clean house for Sunday. Oh AND I finished the dining room table… I’ll take pictures later.
Sunday, Cody was able to come with us to church (LOVE THAT! Thank you dear Stake Pres.) and Kevin was able to sing in Church with the primary for the first time. Brought tears to my little eyes. Between him beaming and kind of singing and Julia standing on the bench waving and yelling “Hi Kevin!!! Kev, Hi KEV!”
It was all adorable and very rewarding!
Oh and my Hubby gave me tickets to see Fiddler on the Roof!
I’m SUPER D DUPER excited!
It was a fabulous Mothers Day week.

You guys are so great! Aways doing fun things together. Cruz wouldn't go up and sing on Mother's Day. We'd been gone for 3 weeks and he wasn't so sure about it. Oh well, I guess next year!
