Sorry for the SERIOUS picture overload.
I am using this new program to blog from and it just works so nicely, I don’t ever have to wait for a single picture to load, that I just threw them all on!
This is our June thus far.
Kevin and Julia got kites for Easter from Grandma Wii and Grandpa Kevin. Can I tell you how fabulous they are. They are the kites that blow up, once they are blown up if the kite is sitting on the ground face down and the youngster starts running, the kite immediately goes up. Even my little big Julia girl can do it.
Julia was mad this day because I didn’t blow her kite up fast enough (yes, she is like that) so she didn’t participate in the fun. But Kevin flew his kite for a good hour or more. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
Although the Princess was mad at me, she was awfully proud of her big brother when he came in from running around the circle. How about a hug?
Julia’s birthday day--
I assembled this picnic table the night before and had it in the kitchen so the kids could eat Breakfast on it. Sadly, Cody had a really busy day with church and was leaving as the sun was coming up so he missed out on the morning fun.
Julia has yet to have a birthday cake. Last year she had cupcake cones with ice cream on them (cause she L.O.V.E.S. ice cream cones!) and this year because I wanted to have a treat for her to take to nursery that was not too much work for the nursery leaders we made cupcake Pops. They were a HUGE hit and they weren’t messy at all!
It is odd because we NEVER eat an entire birthday cake, 90% of it gets thrown away. It’s a different story with these bite sized little cake pops. We only have 4 left, which means we will have eaten the entire cake. Weird!!!!
Grandma Wii sent these adorable shoes to Julia for her birthday. She loves the bling and would not take NO for an answer when we were getting ready for church yesterday, so we found an outfit that she could rock them in. And boy did she rock them. She LOVES LOVES LOVES them!!!
Because Julia did not have a cake, her candles went in her French bread at dinner time, she loved being sang too. Thanks for all the phone calls, packages, and birthday cards. Julia felt very special on her big day. She LOVED all those that called and sang to her. She asked several times yesterday, “Mom, you sing Happy Birthday to me?”
After dinner we went to feed the ducks. Something BOTH of the kids LOVE. They were very sad when they ran out of bread though.
Cody took a picture of me last night to show off the baby bump. This is the Princess at 30 weeks. My last 3 doctors appointments I have measured two weeks ahead. Since Julia was also early, the doctor is pretty confident that I will be early again. I go back on Friday, I’ll be interested to see if things are the same.
Today we had Julia’s 2 year check up.
She weighed in at 23 lbs. 2 oz. – 10%- The doctor was very happy for her growth spurt. She’s now in the double digits. Last time, she was only in the 2%.
She was 34 inches tall, which set her right at 50%.
She had to have one shot and did not even cry. This little girl is tough I tell you. I’m amazed by her pain tolerance.
Since she was so tough and my afternoon appointments canceled we ran home for some sun block and spent the better part of the day at the zoo. It was LOVELY!!!!
