I don’t have any pictures from our morning activities on the 4th, but this was the kick off to our afternoon/evening activities.
The fabulous parade. Thankfully, Kevin scored lots of candy because he was constantly up dancing, it kept Julia happy through the entire parade. (and the next morning when she found it before breakfast!)
Neither of my kids handle the heat/humidity well, Kevin especially, Julia resorted to pouring bottles of water over her head. Kevin drank 2 ENTIRE bottles of water while we were watching the parade.
(sorry if you have a kink in your neck when this is all over… I forgot to rotate the pictures!)
Kevin is very aware of anything that is a mixture of the colors red, white, and blue. He knows they stand for American (as he says it) He very much enjoyed the celebration for America. We explained to him why we were doing such a thing, he grasped bits and pieces of it.
Daddy bought a plethora of fireworks for us this year. We spread them out over 3 days. The kids L.O.V.E.D it! I thought for sure Julia would be apprehensive, or better yet, Terrified, but she Enjoyed every second!
After doing our own show at home we headed to a near by park. We had awesome seats and the kids clapped, laughed, and hooped and hollered the entire time.
There were quite a few fireworks that where just a flash of light with a HUGE bang. The kids would crack up each time and Kevin would cover his ears.
I finished up the girls room. Okay, so I use finished very loosely. I still need to finish their quilt, but I need more fabric and I have one mirror that still needs paint. BUT for now, it’s finished.
Julia has an abundance of bows. She had a bow organizer in her room at one time, but only about 1/3 of the bows would fit. I had decided I’d make anothern, but I already have plans for all the wall space that is left, so I put them around her curtains… I actually really like it!
President Monson encouraged us at the last conference to have a temple picture in every room in our house so that when the time came to make the decision, our children will have already made theirs.
Here’s Julia’s, Kevin’s will be hanging in the next few days.
Today Kevin wanted to play instruments. We had a lot of fun rockin’ around the house. When we were almost done he said, “I hope Dad hurries so he can get pictures of us.” Since I knew Cody wouldn’t be home soon enough I set the camera on the couch and got a few. Kevin was super excited.
(That’s my ginormous belly self at 34 weeks)
Ugh, tonight we had Young Women Presidency Meeting. I can not even BELIEVE the temptations that are facing our youth. I’m seriously on over load and feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility to help these girls and lead them in a more pleasing path. Since cleaning helps my stress levels, I’m off to my basement to do some thinking/cleaning. I’m hoping to come up with a clearer mind and some answers…wish me luck!

I was feeling really good about my rocking chair project until I saw pretty much all of your projects, and now I'm not near as proud of my pregnant self. The girl's room looks great!
So fun! All of it. Your belly is huge. You are not, but man, you are prego! I am so glad it is you and not me! Although, at least when I was prego I had an excuse for my large belly. :)
