A quick catch up before the good stuff!

 

We had a fabulous long weekend. I’ll be the first to admit that I was not my normal happy self on the 4th of July.  

I have not been getting near enough sleep. It only comes in 1 1/2 hour increments. I’m grouchy because I haven’t had enough sleep. I’ve tried everything (zantac, lots of pillows, tylonel, AC cranked)… it just isn’t working. When I wake up, I’m usually awake for at least 30 minutes. It makes this mama grouchy!

To add to the mayhem, Kevin was EXHAUSTED yesterday and only took a 10 minute nap. Holy WHINE fest. UGH!

I was good in the morning, grouchy in the afternoon, but after cleaning my house and de-stressing, I pulled it together in time to have fun at the parade and fireworks!

A quick glimpse of our Friday and Saturday activities-

My headboard is up…I just cut the vinyl for it, in a few days I hope to have it finished, if I can find the pictures I want. (Thanks babe!)

Cody also hung a shelf in Kevin’s room and a shelf in Julia’s room on Saturday. I am waiting for some paint to dry right now then I can finish up Julia’s room! YAY!!!

I don’t think I posted a picture yet, but maybe I did.  I made my nursing cover last week. I LOVE IT!  It turned out fabulously!!  It’s super extra long so it can tuck in all the right places. How about a hoorah for covering the back fat.

Ever since Kevin went camping with Cody he is huge into playing, “camping!” This pile here is his camp fire… You can’t see the base of it, 2 book of Mormons. MMM… yes, and slightly morbid (bodies). He did have the jist of it though, “paper burns good Mom! That’s why these are at the bottom!”

I mentioned I’m in deep clean mode, 2 bedrooms left! YAY! My kids keep putting a damper on my nap time cleaning by coming out during their naps and falling back to sleep wherever I was cleaning/working. Oh well.

The Princess-I think it’s safe to say has mastered the potty!

In fact, yesterday she yelled to Cody, “Oh Daddy, I potty on the floor!” He ran into the bathroom and she had her pants down and was trying to climb onto the toilet herself but didn’t make it in time. I think it’s high time we invest in a stool. If this girl wants to do it all herself, I am NOT about to get in her way!!!
