just for you Dad!!!!
Your super funny birthday card that you should be opening tomorrow, it’s still sitting on the shelf at the store. But, it’s not still sitting there because I forgot to get it. I thought about it 270 times since Mom left. But every time I went into the store I thought to myself, I’ll come back with 2 less kids and be able to find the PERFECT card then. Turns out it never happened.
So, instead, your birthday card this year is filled with super awesome pictures of some super awesome firsts that we’ve experienced the last week.
Like the first day of school.
Julia was pretty nervous. Kevin knew what to expect and was super excited.
Julia had me carry her into school. I helped take her shoes off and then I walked out the door and she never looked back!
Lacey and I spent some quality alone time together and then went back to pick of the kids. They both cried cause they didn’t want to go home. I reminded them that their first day would quickly become their last day if it continued. It shut off as fast as it turned on. It’s all they could talk about until they went again this Monday.
Their teacher says they are both on track for their age. I'm glad school has started again. Kevin loves the structure and Julia needed something that didn’t include Lacey. She’s feeling rather miss placed right now.
Cody blessed Lacey on Sunday. He did a fabulous job and Lacey was as good as gold.
Lacey looked fabulous in her new blessing dress. (It was cheaper to buy a new dress then the buy a slip for my blessing dress!)
As cute as she was, due to the fact our class room at church was about 100 degrees we ditched the dress 1/2 way through church and she sported her onsie the rest of the time. It was so hot that I was wishing I had a onsie on too and I would have ditched my clothes as well. UGH.
Kevin and Julia both love taking pictures… here are a few of Kevin’s master pieces.
Sorry it wasn’t the funniest card ever. But at least it was on time… right?
I hope you had a very happy birthday Dad. I love you so much and look forward to seeing you at Christmas time. I can’t wait for you to meet my little Lacey.
Love ya lots Daddy!
