Wrapping up our Halloween fun

 

On Friday, Kevin and Julia had a Halloween party at school. Julia dressed as a baby and Kevin dressed as Bob the builder.

On Sunday we were invited to dinner at our friends house and to trick-or-treat with them.

Cody, Eric, Lacey, and Issac stayed at home to pass out candy to the trick-or-treat-ers. It was cold, windy, and rainy. About 5 houses into our grand adventures Kevin asked when we would be going home. Needless to say, we only went around the small block and everyone was sufficiently soaked, and pooped out.

Lacey and Julia dressed as ballerinas and Kevin was the dragon again.

Our friend Olivia is Super girl and Charlotte is a fairy princess.

On Tessa’s birthday, we had a Halloween Party for her, although she didn’t come!

We were ALL skeletons. It took some convincing to get Kevin to ditch the dragon costume, but with the promise of cool face paint he was all for it! I’m bummed because after all the begging I did to get Cody to just wear a skeleton shirt, I didn’t get a picture of him in it.

We had a total of 17 people at our house for dinner. A delicious bowl of chili with all the fixings. It was Oh so perfect for Halloween night.

We could not have had better weather. It was so perfect my kids only had sweat shirts on. I threw on my coat and was tooooooooo warm.

Julia was the cutest skeleton out that night. She would say in an almost whisper at each door, “Trick or Treat and Thank you!”  Near the end of our trick-or-treating adventures she said, “Mom, I just don’t want to say trick or treat anymore!” I told her she wouldn’t get anymore candy and she didn’t care!

I think we had a very fun, successful, Halloween season. Today was a horrible day to start a diet that includes NO candy. I’ve had to stop myself several times from throwing a piece in my mouth and it’s only 11:08!!! Yikes!

I’m happy to have November here. I get to see my Brothers family in 24 days and I can hardly wait.  I’ll also have a 4 year old in 24 days… PLEASE MAKE TIME STAND STILL!!!!
