At Christmas time we had family pictures done. But do to the chaos of an abundance of people and an abundance of people with the flu, somehow I didn’t get any pictures of my children together. Because I like things just so, I took the kids today to get new pictures so that all of our family pictures on the wall would match!
They were so good.
And loved every second of it.
I pulled back into my driveway 55 minutes after the start of my appointment.
That’s how good the kids were.
The photographer was good too. She’s fast *obviously!*
I may or may not have bribed my kids with their very own pack of gum. It was worth my 2.50!
I’m super happy with how they turned out and I can’t wait to pick the actual prints up next week!
Things are good here. Tomorrow is the first time in a long time that I don’t have any errands to run or appointments during preschool. I’m pretty excited. My house will either be super sparkly or Lacey will have had 2 hours of my undivided attention (depending on if she is napping!) Either way, I’m giddy with excitement.
My kids are fun. I love looking at these pictures and seeing how blessed we are.
I know I’ve mentioned 70 times already, but let me tell you again. Sleep training our children was the best thing we’ve done. They are happier, we are happier. It’s glorious.
Julia has turned into our little artist. I remember about a year ago she was super obsessed about having a mini notebook and pencil at ALL times and she drew very meticulous little clusters of lines all over the pages. She is now coloring super awesome. She stays in the lines and now colors each object different colors. Tonight we were out running around (we looked at a car or two) and we stopped at Target, the kids had brought their money and wanted to buy something. Julia picked a new notebook, she now owns 10 or so. She doesn’t waste them though. Each page is colored on very neatly. I wish I would have saved a few pages from her little note book from last year. I at least have pictures to document it.
Kevin is turning into such a little man. There is no more little kid/toddler left. He is a boy through and through. Today he asked if boys could be motorcycle racers for their jobs. I told him yes and he said, “Wowza!!! I’m going to be a motorcycle racer and I’m going to ride a BLUE Yamaha.” He then went on to ask if Yamaha would pay for his motorcycle is he raced really well and really fast.
Our little Lacey Bug is Awesome Sauce! I don’t know how else to describe her. We are still completely smitten with her. A few things I LOVE about her. She is strong enough to sit on my hip and doesn’t need as much support. In doing so, she holds onto my shirt by my shoulder blade with one hand and the other hand is wrapped up in a handful of hair. Just like Kevin when he was a babe. I LOVE IT! I always call her my little monkey because she reminds me of the baby monkeys at the zoo that cling to their Mama’s. If you watch Lacey is group settings, if someone laughs, she immediately starts laughing, if a serious conversation is going on, she is serious. It really seems like she is apart of everything. We swear she already understands what is being said. She is a great eater of solid foods. She refuses to nurse if her Daddy is in ear shot. The second he walks in the door her hands and legs are flailing until he comes and gives her some attention. Kevin and Julia are GREAT helpers and LOVE giving her all the loves she can handle (plus some!)
