A perfect day!

Today was a perfect day! It started with me waking up 5 minutes before my alarm went off and realizing that I was asleep by 9 pm last night and had not been woken once from my restful state, not even once. The kids and I made pumpkin muffins for breakfast and while they were cooking the kids also had their hair cut. The kids did their chores the first time I asked and very quickly. We had a play date. Played in the water, took naps, and puttered around the house. Today Lacey picked up my cell phone and put it to her hair and said, “Hi!” Julia chose to start saying her prayers all by herself and said two fabulous prayers today. It’s so cute because she will say, “Please bless…” then whisper, “the food Mom?” I nod and then she says it out loud. It’s super cute. And for family home evening we learned about working hard. Kevin said it perfectly when he said, “when we work hard and do good we feel happy cuz we did it!”   And NOT once did I have to start counting when someone didn’t mind. Perfect, I tell you!!!

Now, It’s time for some mega catching up…

Julia’s 2nd dance class was a success! We were the first ones there and NO parents were aloud to stay in the room. She had a blast and can’t wait for next time!

Last weekend we went camping with J.D. and Ashlynn, and a couple of their friends. We both drove about 3 hours and met in the middle. It was fabulous! We had a ton of fun! The kids were super good and had so much fun digging in the dirt.

The camp ground we went to had activities going on all the time. Julia was hiding under the table from this bear(?). Kevin liked him but kept his distance still.

I was responsible for finding J.D'.’s friends a tent, and while I did that, I forgot ours. The big kids slept in the cab of the truck, Cody and I slept in the bed and Lacey slept like a baby in her pack n play beside the truck. Like really. She napped 2 times a day and slept all night long. (She’s a good napper/sleeper at home, but I thought because of the circumstances it wouldn’t go as well!)

One night was all-you-can-eat ice cream and Ashlynn made a yummy cobbler to go with it.

There were also bubbles to play in. Everyone dove right in, except Madie. She was more cautious and just played a bit.

Here’s our proof of the filthiness of Lacey when we got home. She was groooss! EWW!  But she had so much fun crawling around in the dirt.

Kevin has mastered the fire man pole and Lacey has mastered sitting in the grass without going crazy!!!
