I'm still in Shock....

Yesterday was a much anticipated day at our house.  It was the day of the BIG gender reveal.  At 12:45 we all loaded up in the car to go as a family to find out what kind of muffin was in my tummy.  Cody was not surprised at all but Kevin and I... I think we are both still in shock. We learned that there would be more pink to be had. More bows, more pig tails, and more little sisters to protect!  And don't you worry, Kevin is taking this "protecting" role quite serious. We were talking yesterday about the very thing and he said, "well, I'm ready! I already have a gun." I'm sure he made his Pa proud! :)

I thought I'd be sorely disappointed, I was hoping for one last boy, but as shocked as I still am, I am pretty excited for this little girl to join our family. Lacey seems as though she will be fine with a little sister. She loved holding my friend Sarah's baby Ashley.

I don't think Julia really cares one way or the other. She doesn't seem to affected by the news. She was really excited to see the baby in my tummy and I don't think it disappointed.

We spent the weekend in St. Paul. Tessa had flown in for a conference and brought Lucy Lou with her. One of the days all the kids were napping Lucy and I made a gingerbread house together.

J.D. taught my NON GAMING, Cody how to play the play station!  Cody's face is priceless in this picture. Thankfully Cody does not have any desire to go out and purchase a game system.

Lacey warmed right up to Aunt Tessa.

Lacey also took her duties as big cousin very seriously. If Hayden even made a peep she was on binkie/rocking duty.

She was very soft, and loved holding him and being right by him all the time. MUCH to Madison's dismay.

And lastly, for Family Home Evening last night we made home made donuts. Julia had been working on a sticker book during the day that had TONS of donut stickers and was dying to make them herself.

We had pink frosting in celebration of more Pink to be coming and I must say, they were DELICIOUS!!!

We are blessed and we know it!

The way I see it, you make wicked awesome little boys, and equally super cool girls, so there was no lose here. Congratulations!
