It seems as though our house is finally coming together.
We were supposed to get carpet this Wednesday but on Saturday we got a call that there was a cancelation and we were the lucky recipients of carpet! WOOHOO!! Despite the fact that our one man show carpet installer was less than steller and quite a few of our newly painted walls will need to be repainted, I am thrilled beyond belief to have half of our goodness downstairs and out of our living room. The garage is still chalk full of boxes that will be staying that way, and as soon as Cody has another break in his life will be building shelves in the garage to accomodate that mess!
We are still living without a dining room table. I can't get myself to go buy a brand new one when there are millions floating around on Craigslist in perfect condition. The only problem is, every single one that we have loved we have been to late or never heard back from the beloved seller. We may just have to bite the bullet. Feeding five people on a card table is starting to get old.
The big kids are sleeping downstairs these days. They love it and I love it! There is something about not hearing them playing in their rooms when they should be sleeping that makes my evening much more peaceful. I used to go batty listening to them wrestle around as they try to fall asleep. Or come out of their room 500 times. Such it not the case anymore. YAY! It also makes it a LOT easier to do some projects after they are in bed without distrubing them. I'm a happy Mama!
As far as baby Elena goes. I went to the doctor yesterday for my 36 week check up to learn that I am dilated to a five. Of course the doctor was in shock and I think her exact words were, "I'm not really sure what to do!" I said to her, "well, don't be alarmed, I wont be having a baby in the next few days." She then handed me my paper to reschedule for next Monday, adding that this is very "bizarre." Tell me about it lady! Tell me about it! I had also called a local Nurse Practicioner that does Family Medicine last week to see if she was taking new patients. I'd really like to have her be our doctor since there isn't a close Pediatrician. Her assistant explained to me that she doesn't take new patients and probably wouldn't take on our family. I had explained this to my Doctor who had recommended her and she said, "Oh no, I'll call her, she will be calling you this afternoon!" A few hours later she had called and my kids are all registered with her for Pediatric care! YAY! And she is close... like 10 or so minutes away. YAHOO. Such a blessing. I was not looking forward to driving an hour to have a lousy ear infection diagnosed.
Hopefully there will be more pictures soon. I have to link my phone to my computer still and find the cord to my camera still! :) It's unpacked... just not sure where yet.
