It must be documented!

I can't fall asleep without recording some funny things that have been said around these parts.

Last night we went to dinner at a Chinese restaurant and when the waitress came to our table and asked us if we were ready to order, Lacey said, "um...egg! Soda drink!" It was crystal clear and the waitress knew exactly what she said.

We put the kids to bed about 8:00 last night and Julia came up at 11, very pleased with herself for finally remembering ALL the words to Book of Mormon Stories. Her second verse went, "lamanites met others who were speaking to the trees!" Cody and I chuckled all night long.

This afternoon Lacey bit Julia (this is turning into a common occurrence when Lacey doesn't get her way. Grrrr!) Julia came in to tell on her so I went to find Lacey and she had run into her room and shut the door, when I called her name, she peeked her head out and said I the sweetest voice, "oh, I'm sorry Mommy!" Then gave Julia a big cheesey grin and said, "sorry Ju!"

Today has been a much anticipated day for everyone. Julia has been dying for weeks to go to a chocolate store. She didn't just want grocery store chocolate, she wanted a fancy chocolate store. Lucky for us, there was one not to far away. Lately, anytime Julia is upset she will say, "I think I just need a little piece of chocolate." The chocolate store did not disappoint. She was in heaven and picked out 6 fancy chocolates and a few gummy candies.

Before the chocolate store, we went to Red Hill Dari for dinner. Since having started insanity two weeks ago, I've been very careful about what I've eaten, and for the last three days I haven't had any artificial sugar at all. My 1/2 of a very, very, very delicious hamburger and root beer nearly killed me, I felt awful afterwards. But Julia devoured her delicious hamburger too. Lacey wouldn't eat anything and in the way home from the candy store she kept saying, "tummy hurt! More candy?" Fat chance lady!!!

This was also a big day for Kevin. Tonight is the Fathers and SOns outing at the Joseph Smith birthplace memorial in Vermont. Cody has taken Kevin every year since he was 8 months old and Kevin could NOT wait. He had all of his clothes packed by about 8:30 this morning and it was the longest day waiting to leave. The lucky little fella also got to go to work with Dad as he has a dealer near there in Vermont that he also had to visit. Cody said the owner let Kevin walk around and pick out whatever shirt he wanted. The owners dog was also there and Kevin took him for a walk for about an hour. I talked to them a few hours ago and Cody said that there are tons of kids Kevin's age and that he was in heaven!!
Last night when I was tucking Kevin in he told me that he wanted to hang his harley shirt of his wall and I laughed and said he was funny. After he got to pick out a new shirt today he told Cody...
K- dad, I'm going to hang my old harley shirt on my wall.
Cody- oh yeah?
K- yeah, I told mom last night,
C-what did she say?
K-she just laughed!

We are so blessed to be the Parents to these beautiful children and we know it!
