The blog post of all blog posts.

Buckle up! There are tons of pictures here. Cody's parents, Kevin and Lori, came to visit us for a week. It was fabulous. We ate until we couldn't possible eat another thing. From local diners to lobster on the coast in Maine. It was oh so yummy.

The kids were ecstatic to have Grandpa Kevin, the king of treats at the tip of their fingers. Lacey enjoyed her first taffy.

Rootbeer floats and popcorn while watching movies.

Lots of playing a little sleep. When I went to wake Lacey up to go to lunch as soon as she saw my phone she said in her oh so sleep voice, "No pictures Mommy!"

We went to the trading post and Grandpa found himself a nice riding helmet.

Cody had been in Milwaukee all week for a work meeting so we met him half way home from the airport for lunch. We all missed him and couldn't possibly wait the extra 40 minutes for him to get home.

The kids were wiped out.

It was a nice break for me. There was a Grandma every corner I turned to feed kids, wipe faces, do dishes, and fulfill my need for adult conversation.

We enjoyed Mexican. Lacey was super excited to sit by Grandpa Kevin, today, five days after leaving Lacey still asks if "Grandpa Kevin be right back?"

Since installing the carpet in the basement our basement door would no longer open, unless you were made of muscles. This being the only way for the kids to get out of the house in the event of a fire Grandpa Kevin (a fire chief) understood my need and urgency for the door to open and in no time at all I had tile installed and I can now sleep better at night.

Lacey baby is one funny girl. She is a teaser and a jokester and very entertaining.

One night after getting home late we threw the kids in bed and the next morning as I was getting Kevin in the shower for church I found a tick under his armpit.  EWW.  they grooooooossssssss me out! Thankfully Grandpa was here to take care of our first tick bite too. YUCK!

Since we weren't in Idaho enjoying the beautiful Memorial Weekend weather, we made tin foil dinners and smores out by the fire. The kids loved it and Julia kept asking me, "Are we camping right now?"

Grandma brought these super cute under brellas for the kiddies. They were perfect seeming as we got about 6, SIX, S-I-X inches of rain while they were here.

After all that fun outside, baths were a must.

This girl has finally established a nice night time routine. She eats at 9:30 p.m. 3:30 am and then she joins us about 7 am in bed for another bottle and a few more zzzzzzzs.

While Grandma and Grandpa were here I was putting Lacey to bed and she started crying that she wanted the Princess bed so I went and put her in walked out and shut the door. It was smooth sailing for several nights and naps, but the last few nights she has asked to sleep in the crib again. I'm fine with whatever as long as she keeps sleeping through the night.

On Memorial Day we enjoyed a day in Maine. Lobster on the coast,

snail picking

a fire truck tour around the city,

cute fire truck hats for the kids,

lots of smiles,

and interesting history of Portland Maine,

we wrapped up our trip to Maine with an hour of beach time. I don't have any pictures, we thought the kids would just get their feet wet and didn't have any swim clothes or toys, but they immediately warmed up to the big waves and ditched their shirts in no time at all. We took home two soaking wet, sandy, exhausted kids, and two tired little girlies.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for all the fun! We love you lots and can't wait until we are together again.

Not pictured the boys hunting, Grandpa and Kevin golfing, antique shopping, and hair coloring.

It was a fabulous week and a nice refreshing start for our summer.
We are blessed and we know it!
