We interrupt the #thepartyof2013 to talk about this little peanuts 4 month birthday. Four months...I'm in shock. My last child is no longer a new born but a growing baby. I'm sad, so very sad how quickly the days have gone. But, in the same sentence, I'm so grateful to have the baby blues behind us and to be able to more fully enjoy all of my children.
To celebrate this four month old, we went to Ross Park to swim. Elena enjoyed a few laps around the lazy river when she decided she was exhausted from sun bathing. She sucked down a bottle and enjoyed a lovely nap in the shade with a nice warm summer breeze and a few random rain drops. At four months Elena is;
Holding her head up very well,
Rolling, rolling, rolling. She lasts all of three seconds on her back, and Has rolled off the bed once and the couch once. (No more high surfaces for her.)
very ticklish, especially on her chunky little thighs.
Cooing and telling lots of stories.
Easily startled but can sleep through just about anything.
Often fought over by her siblings.
Laid back, easy going.
In love with bath time.
Spits up like a crazy woman and always smells like sour milk. (Eww, it's a never ending battle. Darn acid reflux.)
Elena has been the salt and pepper to our family. She has completed us and we are so happy she is here. She brings us lots of smiles and laughter and we feel so blessed to have her.
