5 Months? Let me catch my breath!
How in the world does this even happen? She went from 6 lbs 14 oz. and 21 inches long to 15 lbs in the blink of an eye.
Yes, you heard me right!
1-5 L-B-S! Putting her in the 50%. Just perfect if you ask me.
34.5 inches putting her in the 70% for height.
At five months Elena has
-had rice cereal, graduated to prunes and green beans and loves them both. She feeds her self graham crackers and papers, and toys, and anything else she can reach. (Sorry insurance company for the slightly slobbery paper!) She loves the walker and can push herself backwards. She easily tires of the bumbo, but has some serious abs and can lift her upper half off of the ground quite well. She loves her fingers and her toes and is easily entertained by them. She is just getting to the point where I can prop her on my hip and she can support herself without too many wabbles. I love it! At sleepy time if her arms are swaddled tight she is out like a light. She wants so badly to feed herself but her aim is still poor with the bottle and she usually ends up with a straight shot to the eyeball or a nose filled with milk. Elena is very patient, very mellow, and easy peasy to take where ever we are going. She is quick to laugh and loves watching her big brother and sisters. Lacey calls her, “MY baby Laney.” Dad refers to her as “Laners or Lanes” So far… she doesn’t seem to mind
We love you Laney. We are so happy you joined our family. You are the perfect caboose to our little family train.
