You've had a birthday, shout hooray!

Lacey Baby's birthday was a big event. W celebrated on the day of the Chubbuck Days parade.

The birthday girl in all of her glory. She wanted to pick up candy, but not get out of her chair. What a conundrum!

By the end, the street was filled with candy and the kids had lost all interest in gathering it. They then had to drag their double lined grocery bags filled to the brim into the house. A fun problem to have!

We then enjoyed lunch at the park and quick naps before her birthday party. She is a lucky girl. She's the only one of my kids to celebrate a birthday with all her aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

She loved opening her presents and was very gracious. She also blew out her candles about 10 times. I don't know who had more fun, her or me.

And, as it turns out, ice cream cake was a hit!

The kids put her presents right to use doing Aunt Ashlynn's hair.

Lacey Baby is a joy to have in our family. She is a joker, a tease, and a lover. She always has something she's attached to, her number one is her blanket, number two is Curious George, and the third rotates...today it is her backpack. Last month it was her swim suit.

She speaks very clearly and is full of funny things to repeat. She loves everyone from a distance and takes a minute to warm up. She's definitely a Mama's girl, and currently calls me "Mama." If I don't respond in the appropriate amount of time she will call me, "Mommy Jessie."
She fills my heart and fits in our family perfectly. I love you Lacey Baby.
