Last night for Family Home Evening we had a painting class... First off, I'm no painter... but when I was at Walmart earlier in the day and saw these canvases, I wanted everyone to paint one to hang in our sunroom as decoration. The kids were just as excited as I was. Cody was stressed out. :) I kept reminding him that we were having fun.
Cody went with a painting of his beloved back hoe, it is not quite finished. Kevin went with a leopard, It looks as though it is leaping through the trees. Julia went with a sunset with flowers in the front. Lacey went with a wishing dandelion. Elena's is just a masterpiece, it's up for interpretation. (She was tucked in bed when it came time for pictures!) And I painted some wild flowers. It was actually a lot of fun! If I hadn't already filled my walls with decor I would have done this for every room. I do think we will have another session again soon, as the kid's all expressed interest in having one for their own room. They weren't too hip on the idea of me taking their hard work. :)

As it turns out, I sort of love hanging out with this crew. I'm happy they are mine.
