Our little tiny Julia is turning into quite the beautiful little girl. This year we promised all the kids a birthday party. We spent many evenings lying in her bed discussing the details of her birthday party. It was a toss up between a pampering party and a painting party and the painting won! We spent some time on pinterest finding the perfect ideas and then time creeped by EVER.SO.SLOWLY.
I don't think she slept a wink the night before, she was just too darn excited. She made signs to hang out front pointing to where the party was and a sign on the wood pile that said, "Do not climb!" Just in case one of her friends were to get a crazy hair and start climbing the wood pile.
Julia is our little artist and has extreme attention to detail. The party was moving much to quickly for her taste as she could easily spend hours painting the perfect master piece, while all of her friends jumped on the trampoline and played tag she hustled her buns and wrapped up her painting. It was so fun hearing the girls ohh and ahh over each others creations.
Then we dined on mini sandwiches and fruit followed by a paint pallet cake and of course a piƱata. It seemed as only moments after it began she was sending each of her friends home with some paints and an apron and a great big hug.
Don't be surprised if you see this painting party on repeat at our house. I thought it was just as fabulous as Julia did and it is definitely a party that runs itself. It was both enjoyable and relaxing. We all loved it!
Julia at 7-wishes everyone would call her Julia Ann all the time. Loves her long hair and her bangs. Enjoys being responsible and given hard tasks to complete. She's a wonderful help with Lacey and Elena. She loves helping Lacey learn to read and is very patient with her. She loves reading to Elena at night and helping her pick out clothes in the morning. She is the best big helper.

We love our Julia Gulia. She's changing right before our eyes and although it is so hard to see her getting bigger, her sixth year was a really, really wonderful year. She learned to communicate her thoughts and ideas and our over all battles decreased drastically. (Insert huge sigh of relief!) I'm so excited to see what this year has in store for her. I love you Julia Ann, FOREVER and EVER!
