Since we hold a Zoo Pass, we were sent tickets in the mail for 2 free train rides as well as a pass into the Dinosaur Exhibit.
I'm sure you could only begin to imagine the excitment Kevin was feeling.
He'd seen and heard the train at the zoo dozens of times but had never had the joy of actually experiencing it.
(well, he did once, but he was like 8 months old!)
It appears as though he is crying in this picture, when he is actually BURSTING at the seams.
He was squealing and talking at least 125 mph.
Getting ready for the train to go!
Julia also loved her train ride. She was so happy to sit all by herself! Such a big girl!
Now, onto the dino exhibit.
IMAGINE, If you will--
75 over joyed 2 and 3 year old kids, so excited to enter the exhibit.
They have their tickets in hand and once they hand them off and they are inside,
imagine-- after seeing the first 2 dinos, 70 of them bawling their eyes out!
Kevin was a little nervous, once he started to whimper and I put a stop to it!
Such a mean Mom! We talked all about them being fake and he ended up having a good time!
Julia was as good as gold, and was near falling to sleep. She didn't care and was just along for the ride!
The big dino for pictures when we were leaving.
Mmm.. I love those 2 kids.
Just incase you cared-- I don't have any new pictures to show you of our house. We did find the problem to our leaky book shelf. A $2.45 box of nails was all that we needed and a little labor from the husband and a lot of teasing from the wife, we are back in business!
Instead of taring out the bookshelf and starting another project this weekend, we decided to finish a project we'd already started first. We are waiting for 2 peices of special order Fascia to come in and our soffit and fascia will be finished..
(I hear angles singing on high!)
We are so blessed. I said about 87,000 prayers that we'd be able to afford the repairs needed and we were able to. We've got most of the things we need to fix our book shelf too so it will just cost us a few bucks!
YAY!
Also, our Pretty little Princess took her first step on her own last night.
She likes to stand herself up and tip over. Last night at tennis lessons she stood her self up and I said,
'Julia, take a step!'
She picked her foot up took a big step looked at me and laughed then made herself tip over.
It then turned into a game and she would just stand up and tip over. The second someone says walk or step she tips over and laughs her little head off.
Little stinker.

Seeing your pictures of the zoo make me so excited! We'll be right next to a free zoo!!! Next summer I'm sure we'll go there a lot! Oh and I read that in January there is a ice sculpture thing in one of our parks - you'll have to come see it with us!
