It's a snow day!

Julia is currently very opinionated when it comes to what she wears.

She L.O.V.E.S. this hat Aunt Shasta made for her. HOWEVER, if I pick it out for her to wear she will not and I repeat, WILL NOT wear it. Or touch it, or look at it!
IF she picks it out, she goes ballistic if ANYONE even touches it.
In fact, last night she slept with it CLUTCHED super tight in her hand.

Julia is our little pill. We LOVE LOVE LOVE her to death, and I catch myself tearing up almost daily lately.
She is growing so fast. Right now she is counting, UNO, DOS, TRES, and jumping onto a pile of pillows.  Her vocabulary has gone wild the last few months.
A few of her most common phrases;
-I can (means I want candy)
-I will.
-I know!
-I Ken wake. (Which means, I wake Kevin up)
-More Milk
-I hungry.
-Daddy go work.
-I want apple.
-I eat beans.
-I Color PLEASE!
She says tons more, 7 of those she said while I was trying to think, so that's what we get!!

Kevin has been lots of fun lately too.
He is loving, loving, loving school.
And he LOVES when I have things planned for him at home. He ABSOLUTELY thrives off of structure.
He now has 18 stickers on his chore chart, once he gets 2 more he gets to go get a new toy from the store.

I never let the kids say 'cheese' for pictures, I always try to get them to say MONKEY, or some other animal, in this picture Kevin was spouting off a list of animal names. LITTLE MONKEY.

On Friday night last week, Kevin and Julia had their first sleep over.
Haile and Liam our neighbors kids stayed the night so their parents could go to a concert.
They were all gems and I think we had a good time.
Of course who wouldn't be good when you can have pizza and cupcakes.

Julia has been a CRUMMY sleeper lately.  I'm hoping once her molars come in she will get good at it again.
She goes to bed in her own bed but after about 4 hours she wakes up every 30 or so minutes. I finally put this little mattress on our floor, when she comes in she just lays down and goes to sleep.  This weekend Cody and I were going to get into bed, we had been watching a movie and when I checked on the kids Julia wasn't in her room.  When we went into our room, here she was fast asleep.
The odd thing.  Once she gets on this mattress on our floor, she sleeps the rest of the night through. I think she just likes being close to us.

On a whim we decided to tare out the dining room floor and replace it. I had decided I was going to do it while Cody was in Brazil and surprise him when he got home with a NEWLY painted floor.
BUT after filing our taxes and being pleasantly surprised by a bigger return, Kevin and I tore the sucker out on Monday and we put in a new hardwood floor on Tuesday and finished it today.

Kevin really did about 50% of the scraping. He was such a good worker. (Like I said, he thrives off of projects!) I have videos but I can't get them to load.  There is one of Kevin scraping the floor. He did a REALLY good job!

For the 1st half of the floor Cody was wearing his clothes from work, but toward the end of the night he went in and changed and came out in this... LOVELY isn't it!

The computer wont let me load any more pictures to this post... so I'll start anothern.
