Flower bed

On Tuesday last week I started pulling all the junk out of our front flower bed. THe kids were very eager to help and were awesome helpers. Kevin stood at the top of the flower bed and I'd hand him a chain, he'd wrap it around the base of the pricker bushes and then I'd pull it out with the truck. Lacey rode in the cab of the truck with me and Julia rode in the back of the truck and would give me play by plays! :) They also helped, hoe, pull weeds, pick out new flowers, and help plant. It was a fun few days in the garden. On the last day, Cody had pricker bush removal of our biggest bush that we could not get out with the truck. THe kids collected caterpillars and played in the mud. They were in heaven and we were able to get a lot done. 

I'm pretty much in love with the end result, tomorrow we will get the black mulch to finish it off! 

Today we have had killer rain, just what they new plants need after all of this ca-razy heat! 

I'm reminded daily of the beautiful earth we live on. I am blessed and I know it.
