Granny comes to visit

Granny went to visit Cody, Jessie, and their kids for 12 days. Twelve long days for Pa! 12 very busy, fun filled days for Jessie and her kids.  Lacey and Elena both had colds while Granny was visiting and sadly, after all of her help, (staying home from church and keeping the girls, keeping all the kids so Jessie could go to work with Cody, and keeping all the kids again so Cody and Jessie could attend a baptism.) You'd think with all that helping out, she should get off scotch free. Not only did she help with the kids, but Jessie put her right to work. She painted Cody and Jessie's accent wall bright orange and helped Jessie tare down and retile the back splash in the kitchen. Granny was also the person home when Kevin swallowed his first tooth. He wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining everything and she still came and brought him one dollar! Cody also took them out ice fishing and ice skating on Barry Pond. Jessie and Terri experienced the scariest experience of their life driving the Acadia (per Cody's orders) out onto the ice. It was terrifying, but they lived to tell the tale. Not to mention as they were leaving, Cody was behind the wheel and took the liberty to spin as many cookies as he possibly could before Jessie blew her top! Jessie and Terri also took a day trip to Boston to attend the temple. They met a very kind lady who drove up while they were trying to get the perfect "selfie" angle and hopped out of her car and took pictures of them at every angle possible. I think it's a trip that will go down in the books as a success. Lacey is already asking if Granny bought groceries and candy so we can go visit. And, just for the record, the next trip to New Hampshire will be a trip for both Granny and Pa!
