On the go!

I'm sitting at piano lessons with Kevin and I thought I'd be productive. This is week six and he is really excelling. Before starting he committed to playing until he is 16 years old. I taught his primary class a few weeks ago and i asked the class to tell me what a commandment is, he raised his hand and said, "a commandment is something Heavenly Father asks us to do, like learn to play the piano so when we are missionaries we will be able to play the piano at church." I probably didn't correct him. If he thinks it's a commandment to play, I'm okay with that! Kevin recently had a play at preschool called, "why can't I fly?" He played a duck. He was a bit nervous but had all his lines memorized and performed perfectly. Kevin has also been playing tball. (Two practices have been rained out, we won't be here next week, and so he's only been to one, but he liked it! And he really likes his uniform, pants, shirt, socks, and hat.) Kevin is a joker and loves to joke. He's turning into quite the artist, and is still full of questions.

Things have been happening at our house. " Baby" has mastered the stairs, up and down! Which means if someone leaves the front or back door open, "Baby" jets and will be found somewheres in the yard eating dirt! :) Baby also refuses to be locked in her high chair and prefers sitting at the little table or joining us on a regular chair. She also learned to eat with a spoon. :( Baby forgot she's the Baby! As it turns out, Baby also loves the beach. She didn't eat any dirt and spent most of her time trying to get to the too cold water.

We can thank Lacey for the name of "Baby" as well as "sister" and "brother." She always refers to each of her siblings accordingly. When someone asks, "where's Kevin?" She'll say, "oh, my brother?" Lacey is also in LOVE with Frozen and the Pirate Fairies. Cody and Julia are famous for quoting movies non stop, Lacey always stops dead in her tracks and says, "no!!! That's what Olaf (or substitute any other fairy or Frozen character) says!" She's a hoot! She keeps us laughing all the time. We've gone the rounds with nasty colds and pink eye. Lacey was the sweetest and would bring her eye drops to us, lay on the floor and take them like a champ!

Julia is ramping up for a busy two weeks. We recently had dance pictures and she's been busily preparing for her recital. Which, she isn't overly excited about! She had the chance to sing two songs in front of all the Mom's at bible study last week, and after doing that we explained that her dance recital would be so much shorter so I think she's feeling better about it. Last week we had kindergarten orientation. I went in to a parents meeting and Julia stayed with the teachers where they drilled her on everything she knows. She LOVED kindergarten and wanted to stay! Lucky for her she gets to go back in a few weeks to meet her teacher and classmates! She also has her preschool graduation next week. I'll have three kids in school next year. Me, oh, my!! I sure love these kids of mine!

As for the husband. Sometimes I think, "husband?" He's a busy bee. If he isn't working he's doing homework or young men's activities! We just found out he should wrap up school in March! March!!!!! I'm so dang excited. I'm dreaming of him cleaning toilets and doing laundry in his free time. Ha! A girl can dream?! I'm actually picturing Bon fires and maybe a date or two, without any kids.
